da e da San Rufino.

Oggi celebriamo San Giacomo apostolo. Dio onnipotente ed eterno, Tu hai voluto che san Giacomo, primo tra gli apostoli, sacrificasse la vita per il Vangelo; per il suo martirio conferma nella fede la Tua Chiesa e sostienila con la Tua protezione. Amen.

We invite you to join a retreat on St. Bonaventure’s masterpiece, Itinerarium Mentis in Deum, his Journey into God.

St. Bonaventure was a leading medieval theologian, minister general of the Order of Friars Minor, cardinal bishop of Albano, and doctor of the church. St. Bonaventure had a great way of bridging the gap between the current culture and the teachings of the church. We ask for his intercession to be able to bring people to Christ in such a graceful way. St. Bonaventure, pray for us and God's church!

St. Benedict founded a contemplative order and tradition that continues today. St. Francis became a new kind of monk: a contemplative in action. We send blessings to the Benedictines and gratitude for the Portiuncula, motherhouse of the Franciscan order. May you walk in peace and good!

Eucharistic Pilgrimage - To St. Peter Parish Slinger,Wisconsin June 20, 2024
The Fire Is SPREADING

A HISTORIC JOURNEY
Throughout the National Eucharistic Revival, local communities have been gathering tinder in response to God’s invitation for renewal, calling on the Holy Spirit to bring the flame.‍In keeping with this vision, the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is accompanying Jesus from city to city, lighting hearts on fire along the way. Soon, all these flames will blaze together at the National Eucharistic Congress in July.

MARIAN ROUTE (NORTH)

STARTING LOCATION: Mississippi Headwaters, Lake Itasca, MN
CURRENT LOCATION: Archdiocese of Milwaukee, WI
Departing from the headwaters of the Mississippi, the northern arm of the Pilgrimage will descend through the midwestern United States, pass through Wisconsin and Illinois, and meet up with the other three pilgrimage routes at the Congress in Indianapolis.

When St. Anthony preached to the people and they did not listen, he preached to the fish!

Anthony was at the great gathering of Franciscans known as the Chapter of the Mats (1221). He heard Francis preach. Later, when his gift for preaching was known, he received approval from Francis to teach the brothers: “provided the spirit of prayer and devotion be not extinguished.”
He understood, and became one of the most famous preachers of his day.
St. Anthony, Pray for us!
