Retired Sgt. Brett Sobieraski recently wrote and published the book 8 States for Maz - The Humanity Tour. It details his 1310 mile run from Florida to Rochester for fallen hero Officer Anthony “Maz” Mazurkiewicz and his family. The book can be purchased at https://a.co/d/fWHceea and all proceeds go directly to the Mazurkiewicz family.

This bittersweet news has been long awaited. Today, February 29th, 2024 Kelvin Vickers was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the senseless murders of Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz and two other men. While this cannot even begin to fill the hole that Tony Mazurkiewicz left in so many people’s lives, it does provide closure and justice. His legacy will continue on through the charitable work of The Maz Foundation.
