This project has been a real journey for me. The mix has been finished and sitting on the “shelf” for over four years. Various circumstances (personal and professional) kept me from releasing it when I originally intended to. This is not the summer that I had imagined for "Tambourine Dream 2" to be shared with the world, but I hope you can enjoy the music wherever you may be.

Okay! A little backstory on why "Tambourine Dream 2" took so damn long to come out. I feel like I owe you all an explanation since many of you have inquired over the years and have been patient.

After touring from the success of "Tambourine Dream," I got back into the studio reworking new songs that I thought could use the Pocketknife touch. The idea always was to immediately follow up "Tambo D" with another mix. Around that same time, a reputable European label (that starts with a “K” and ends with a “7”) approached us about making "Tambourine Dream" a new series for them. The direction of this new mix series would be focused on official edits/reworks of independent and lesser-known songwriters.

Long story short, the label disappeared a year into the project without explanation and "Tambourine Dream 2" fell back into my lap. Regardless, I continued to rework more indie folk tunes in hopes that another label would pick up the project and do the licensing legwork for me. A few years later, another label became interested in the project and started the licensing process as "Tambourine Dream 2" was being finished. Believe-it-or-not, this licensing stretched well over two years and not all of my reworks could be secured (even in that lengthy time frame). Without proper licensing for enough tracks, the label did not want to release the project, so "Tambourine Dream 2" came back to me once again.

Fast forward to today and here is the mix for you to enjoy gratuit!

Download it, share it with your grandma, mother-in-law or auntie. A special limited-edition metallic gold cassette of "Tambourine Dream 2" will drop in late August.

Hey folks, it's taken a minute to get this out (vinyl production will always be an alchemical headache), but my new 12" EP of "ethno techno" has just dropped. It's on Bandcamp right now and will be in record stores worldwide next week.
My first Boonlorm record from 2014 was an exploration of using prepared piano to make a house album. This record, "Omniscient Wildin'," is my "techno" record utilizing the same technique of prepared piano and raw drum programming 😎 The amazing cover art was done by Brooklyn artist Daniel Davidson 👍
