Museums of Memory are proud to introduce our second Keynote Speaker, Dr Anita Rupprecht!

Anita teaches on the humanities programme at the University of Brighton. Her current research examines the relationship between discourses of sentiment and political economy in relation to the representation of British transatlantic slavery and the abolition campaigns. She is currently working on two projects. One is provisionally entitled, Sympathy, Slavery, and Representation in the British Atlantic World, 1770-1840. The other project, ‘Inherent Vice: Maritime Insurance and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, explores the development of financial insurance in the context of the transatlantic slave trade.

Museums of Memory are proud to introduce our first Keynote Speaker, Professor Tim Perfect!

Tim is a professor of experimental psychology at Plymouth University. His past research has focused on the topic of memory judgements in older adults. His latest book – The SAGE Handbook of Applied Memory – was published this year, and is available in many good bookshops.
