trendy part of this equation where my mother is more contemporary and artsy which is why this works so well for us. We each have our own unique set of skills to bring to the table. I love the creating process. We sit and brainstorm our ideas to come up with original patterns but we also use patterns and put our own twist on it. Ka-Needles started with a gift. I wanted to make a gift for a dear friend of mine but I did not know how to sew. My mother did sew and she’s very much of the “teach a man to fish” philosophy. She has taught me everything I know about sewing as well as knitting and crocheting (I love fiber). She is constantly pushing me to learn and grow in my sewing. I hope to one day own my own fabric and yarn shop which will sell all of our products as well as fabrics we have designed ourselves.
