“A close friend’s betrayal is not ‘good.’ Lying to manipulate a criminal charge is not ‘good.’ Torturing and killing an innocent man is not ‘good.’ In fact, none of the steps leading to and including Jesus’ death are good.
At least, not by themselves.”

A new article about the "good" part of Good Friday, and how Jesus meets us in our suffering.
Bad Friday This silly comic brings up an important question: how can we call the murder of our Creator good?
*Full passage here*
“Our failure is not that we chose earth over heaven: it is that we fail to see the divine in the earth, already active and working, pouring forth grace and spilling glory into our lives. Artists, whether they are professed believers or not, tap into this grace and glory. There is a ‘terrible beauty’ operating throughout creation. If Christ announced his postresurrection reality into the darkness, even into hell, as the Bible and Christian catechism suggests, then, as theologian Abraham Kuyper put it, there is not one inch of earth that Christ does not call ‘Mine!’”
- Makoto Fujimura, “Silence and Beauty: Hidden Faith Born of Suffering”
You were made for eternity.
I see so many creatives struggle. Whether it is burnout, pressure to produce, or fear of failure, we will all face obstacles. Amidst all this, there is a temptation to just hang it up and move on, to escape the stress and shy away from the proverbial spotlight.
But the truth is this: the act of making is a gift! It was bestowed upon us by our Creator because we were made in His image. We are, in fact, sub-creators, and from the beginning, part of our purpose has been to help shape this world. The Lord gave you something unique with which to serve Him, and He wants you to use that gift for His glory.
So take time to rest. Ask for help and feedback. Step out in faith despite your fear. But don’t let your gift go to waste.
“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.”
Colossians 3:23-24

What do you know about the Judgement Seat of Christ for believers?
This is a line spoken by the character of Jesus in our show, “The Bema Live.” He explains that the Bema is not about punishment for sin, but rewards for a race well run.
