LedaOtto has came into beign from the creativity of two young designers Simona Cassai and Marta Saletti: respectively Leda and Otto from the first name of their grandparents. Tuscan by birth they pursued interdisciplinary formative patterns, from Economics to the European Istitute of Design having also important experiences in the fashion and accessories design fields. ey are always updated about the lasted fashion, art and design trends according to the philosophy of their brand. After their meeting, the fusion between the sensitive Otto and the determinated Leda gave birth to a strong friendship which, thanks to the shared passion for fashion and art, has been growing through a constant a reciprocal exchange of ideas and creativity leading to the conception of LedaOtto project in 2010. LedaOtto sees them now as business partners in the creation of the first accessories collection characterized by an exclusive design certified Made in Italy. The collection introduces an original concept in which each item represents the blueprint of a famous cultural, historical or religious iconic building from Italy and beyond on a structure of 24 kt gold, rhodium, and ruthenium plated brass. The blueprint is carefully selected in accordance with its adaptability to the recreation as a accessories, keeping the original proportions of the design through the use of graphic software. The brass sheets undergo many plating steps and galvanic baths that guarantee that the products are nickel free, hypoallergenic and long lasting.The jewel is mounted on plexiglass which becomes the identifying element that strengthens the contemporary feature of the LedaOtto collection in a constant play of references between past and present. The line is completely conceived and realized in Italy, and features a strong and original eye catching point of view. The guiding principle of the project the matching of opposites, and past and present is reflected in the choice of raw materials. The base metal in brass is rich in history and malleable, and serves as the protagonist. It is enhanced by carefully selected semiprecious stones that captivate the geometrical shapes and shades, and are supported by hand-made fine chains.
