It’s been so long that I shared a still photo. Reels have totally taken over Instagram . Though they are fun to post and watch and are quite engaging but my first love will always be still pictures. Here’s a perfect summer drink , a frothy sweet thick coffee with coffee jellos. Loved taking these captures in some harsh light .

All I can see popping on my feed is delicious finger licking food from all my fellow bloggers. I needed some motivation and while I was scrolling through my picture gallery found this gem gulab jamun that I learnt from my mom last year when I visited her. Looks so inviting right? Would love to recreate in my kitchen soon .

Already started craving for ice-cream floats and I have few flavours in mind that I am going to try this summer. Coconut and pistachio cones on top of my list and I can’t wait to try and share the recipe. Until then enjoy this virtually delicious rise icecream float.

Strawberry orange fruit cake . Two of my favourite winter fruits coming together in a cake . Loved the sweet , tangy and fruity flavours with the first bite of the cake in my mouth. Paired it with strawberry syrup on top and it was a party of fruits in my mouth. Will definitely share the recipe video if any of you interested. Drop a yes in the comment.

Rosemary scones with cream cheese and lime and fig jam , a perfect tea time treat . These are classic Scottish scones that are made with flour , butter and some leavening agent . These are flaky and super delicious and can be served with innumerable variations. It’s a fairly simple recipe that I will surely post soon until then enjoy the visual treat.

Many would say what’s in details but for a perfectionist that I always try to be it’s all about details. I always endeavour to put my heart and soul into everything I do. It has its pros and cons because along with self satisfaction comes anxiety and self judgement. This year I want to be little kind on myself, will work hard but don’t want to be a perfectionist . Rather than setting big goals I want to do small little things for myself , basically a year where I dedicate more time to myself.
What are your new year goals?

Gingerbread cookies is most popular bake during this time of the year in every house and so is with my boys. The whole fun of cutting the dough with the cookie cutter and then waiting for it impatiently to bake and cool down and the best part to decorate them is definitely a must do Christmas activity every year. I am yet to graduate to gingerbread house that I procrastinate each year.
So it’s an eggless recipe and I chose to add molasses to give it a little chewy texture.
3 cups flour
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup golden syrup
2-1/2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp all spice powder or use ginger powder
1/3 cup coconut sugar
2 tsp baking soda

Mix everything and make a dough using 3-4 tbsp hot water. Roll and cut into cookies. Depending on the size bake them for 6-10 minutes.
You won’t take more than 30 min to prepare these cookies .

On the other note We are super happy to welcome as our judge for Round 3 of by hosted by myself judged by and
This round is a Pressure Test! Make any dish with 7 ingredients (max) or less & in under 30 minutes.
Round 3 ends on Dec.23
Would love to see your entries.

Flying doughnuts with tutty frutty and chocochips is for dessert tonight . Tried cake mix from Bloom Foods] it turned out so easy to whip up any dessert , no measuring required the premix has everything needed for baking. These premixes are perfect for this festive season when you short of time and still want to impress your family with baking skills. All I had to do was was por the cake mix in doughnut pan and bake them just like cake . I brushed them with honey and decorated with tutty frutty and chocochips from Bloom Foods]

Snuggled in a warm blanket all I want now is a mug of frothy hot chocolate and cocoa with some home made spiced ginger bread cookies to dunk in it. This month brings so much joy and happiness with Christmas vibes around. This year’s Christmas agenda will be to share the joy and happiness of this festive season with those who aren’t privileged enough to celebrate and enjoy with small gestures of kindness. I hope I can teach my boys what recently said in one of his posts “ when one takes to sharing and caring there is something incredible that happens , Magic called SATISFACTION “

Methi laccha paratha , beetroot pomegranate raita and zucchini kofta curry, a feast for eyes and stomach. Paratha were soft with the addition of malai in the dough , koftas flavoured in perfectly spiced gravy and raita acted as a pleasing accompaniment. Finished off the meal with favourite kesar boondi ladoo. Can’t ask for anything more just folding my hands with enough gratitude in my heart to thank god for small or big all good things that come in our way making each day a pleasant day.

What are festivals if there are no sweet treats. We as humans associate festivals with lots of fun and food with family. All my fellow instagramers have been posting some delicious and mouthwatering festive recipe and I couldn’t stop myself from joining this bandwagon. Here in the frame is some melt in mouth coconut , jaggery and dried fruit filled bread malai rolls . Basically the left over modak filling went in these soft bread rolls which were then dunked in slow cooked saffron milk to get this superb recipe. You can always change the stuffing to your liking.
I am slowly adjusting to the Pre pandemic busy lifestyle. I have missed many of your wonderful post but I am slowly catching trying to fit in everything that I love to do in my day again.
