Topless Nationals update !! ⬇️

Thursday Oct. 19 (Practice night)

We finally got to make some good laps at speed and learn something about this car! We went out about 4 times, 3 of the 4 focusing on the driver and not so much the car, after the 4th session we discovered an oil leak coming from the fitting on the oil cooler so decided to load up and fix it Friday with minimal time remaining to practice.

Friday Oct. 20 (Heat race night)

We started 5th and there was a yellow in turn one involving the car in front of us and we restarted 4th and backed it up to 8th. We got kinda hung out on the top and lost spots immediately in corner 1-2, after that I went into practice mode again and started trying to learn where we needed to work on the car, running a couple laps high then low then in the middle just to try and feel out the car more. We will start somewhere in the 20’s in the feature tomorrow. While the results may seem disappointing, I feel comfortable enough now to make some changes in the right direction for tomorrows feature and learn some more.

Saturdays portion of the Topless Nationals will pick back up at 5 PM!!

Hello everyone, we apologize for the lack of content on the page this race season, but that is about to end this weekend !!

We will be making our first ever trip to the Ogilvie Raceway for their annual Topless Nationals!!

We attempted to debut our “new to us” 2020 Rocket XR1 at the Prelude to the Johnny at River Cities Speedway on September 7th but due to a broken cam we were unable to get more than 3 laps in the new car.

We would like to extend a thank you to Levi Babcock, Scott and Curt Zimmerman, and Corky Thomas for getting the car back and running again !

Also would like to thank my dad for really upgrading our equipment this year and giving us the absolute best chance to run up front we can !!

We will see everyone tomorrow night at 6pm in Ogilvie for practice night and racing Friday and Saturday !!

🏁Keep diggin🏁

Super Late season recap ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Man what can I say about this season, started off with 2 Dnf’s with one of those being a wicked tumble, followed by a 2nd place run just a night or two after our rebuild. This season has definitely been the most trying season on not only me but our crew my family and friends as well, there was definitely the highs and the lows, sometimes even on the same night !, and the laughs and the tears. But there’s one thing for certain we aren’t done and we are planning probably our most exciting season yet coming up in 2023 and man I’m excited!!!

Some stats for our 2022 season ⬇️
- 17 Shows (1 month off from rebuilding the car)
- 2 Top 5’s
- 7 top 10’s

And man finally I can’t say enough about our amazing sponsors we have riding on our race car every season, these guys and gals are definitely some of the best out there and I’m proud to say every single one of them are great friends of mine and are like family to me !!

Watching a "big time" race as a kid, I would listen to the announcers and dream of one day hearing them say my name.

For me it wasn’t the Indy or NASCAR announcers that I enjoyed most but instead the "local" guys. I’ve always loved listening to Rick Eshelman, Ron Krog, and Corey Litton.

As everyone knows we lost Rick recently and although I was not close to him and only talked to him a few times, he was always very welcoming and nice to drivers like me that don’t have a big name or a big rap sheet on races won or championships won. He didn’t care what you accomplished or didn’t accomplish, he just knew that you shared the same passion as he did and he always treated you as if he had known you forever.

Thank you for everything you have done for our sport and you will be deeply missed by all of us.

Results update !!!

8-20-22 Devils Lake Speedway Golden Hammer

Heat race 2nd ➡️ 3rd
Feature 10th ➡️ 15th (DNF)

Our night started good at the draw window with a 21 pill, in the heat race we started on the outside of the front row and raced our way into corner one, the track was pretty one groove dominate at the time and when I checked up for the pole sitter sliding up into the groove I was also passed by the car on my inside landing us in 3rd and we just hopped on the train and finished there. Feature was pretty good they worked the track and gave us multiple lanes of racing in both corners and we found ourselves up to 4th at one point. As the race went on I could feel something in the rearend wasn’t 100% correct but I didn’t hear a noise nor did I have a vibration so I kept at it, on one restart I didn’t keep the tires warm and I wasted a lap on sealed over tires and was passed by two cars, one the tires fired we were right back in the hunt. Corners 3/4 was pretty treacherous on the high side with the cushion being thin and a hole getting into 3 making corner entry tough if you didn’t hit it right, with about 5-10 laps to go I drove into 3 a little too high caught the hole and lost the front end leaving us out in the grass off of 4, car wouldn’t start so had to be push started and once I got rolling there was an awful noise coming from the rearend, so I just pulled off to try and not cause further damage. We got home and unloaded and took both hubs off of the rearend to see what the scoop was and sure enough the Left Rear axle tube snout was broke off, that being said that ended our weekend there.

I would like to thank everyone for hanging in there with us as we are consistently in the hunt for top 5 finishes but either the nut behind the wheel or something out of our control causes different results, it will all come with time but man o man do we have a good hot rod going into the best time of the year !!!

Our weekend schedule will be out tomorrow along with a sponsor spotlight post !! 🏁🏁

Results update !!

7-29-22 RCS

Heat 4th ➡️ 4th
Feature 10th ➡️ 17th (DNF)

Made some new adjustments to the car for the heat race and had a good car we thought going into the feature but got brake checked on the start by someone a few rows up and wadded us up before we even got to the flag stand, bent up the bumper and the front nose support bar into the RF and ended our night early, very very frustrating when we can’t even make it to the flag stand before wrecking 🤬

8-5-22 RCS

Heat 1st ➡️ 3rd
Feature 1st ➡️ 13th

Car was clicking just was a pinch too tight in the heat to run the high side, Feature we were more prepared for the cushion but not prepared for the treacherous holes, we led the first lap, yellow came out and lost the lead dropped to fourth, passed back for third and then 1 lap later blew it off the high side in perfect “jackrabbit” Josh Eberhardt Fashion…… went to the rear and got back by a couple cars, I want to apologize to the crew and sponsors on that one, that was on me and i learned some things afterwards and gained some experience that I needed.

8-7-22 SS (Sheyenne Speedway)

Heat 4th ➡️ 6th(DNF)
Feature 13th ➡️ 7th

Had a great time getting back to Sheyenne Speedway finally !! Heat race was nothing less than a lack of respect, going into one the car I front of me didn’t fire, after the car on my inside passed me I was working my way to the bottom to get around the slow car and got absolutely ran over by the car behind me, tearing up the whole left side of the car and flattening a tire ending our heat race early. Feature we had no expectations other than to finish in the top 10, we fired off and 3/4 had taken rubber while 1/2 was really slick. We maintained and made use of multiple restarts and wrecks and just was patient and let off for people driving over our nose. Ending the feature with just one wrinkle in the door. I was definitely not proud of our performance but sometimes it’s out of our control!

With all of that being said, enjoy some awesome pictures taken by Kelsi Pederson in the pits !! It’s amazing to have someone capturing moments inside the pits that not many get to see so we are very thankful for that !!

Hello everyone !! It’s been a long time coming to make this post about coming back out after our rollover in grand forks.

First of all I celebrated my 20th birthday on July 20th so I would like to send a big thank you out to everyone who called texted messaged and commented! It means the world to me knowing the great friends and family I have !

Our opening night back came at the River Cities Speedway on World of Outlaws Late Model Series night, hot laps went good shook the car down and tried to get comfortable in the car, qualifying went really well before I made an error and ran an extra lap, disqualifying my best time and taking my worst time. That put us deep in a heat race where we only moved up one and in turn left us in a b main, started 4th in that (taking 3) we maintained 5th place for a good majority of the race until a late race death push caused us to drop 3 spots and end up 8th missing the show. All in all there wasn’t a scratch on the car and everything functioned as it should so we called it a win and loaded up with some smiles on our faces !

7-22-2022 River Cities Speedway

We started the night off hot at the draw window with our crew drawing is an 8, that landed us on the pole in heat 1, started the race and the outside car rolled around us on the start and we fell in line and finished 2nd, we made the redraw and again got a good draw putting us outside front row, I tried some things on the car and it didn’t end up helping us much, fired off and ran second for a lap or two and got passed dropping us to third, after I finally found a good line I could run I was in 5th, we maintained there most of the race fighting off battles from Dustin strand who is always fast at the bullring, until yet again a hole in 1 caught the RR and upset the car almost spinning out, I collected the car got it straight and was in 8th until the finish, top 10 finish with the NLRA had our spirits pretty high but the crew and driver knew we had some more work to do to get better

7-23-2022 Devils Lake Speedway

Got there early got some Maintenance done on the car and fired off 3rd in heat 3 and had a decent car maintaining 3rd until the second place car had some issues and we were given second on a restart and stayed there, feature fired off 4th and had some great battles with Kevin Robertson and Brad seng and we ended 2nd !! We had nothing for the 17 of Mike Greseth but it was a pretty emotional night, after the long hours put in by many people getting the car back up and going and the terrible year we had been having until this weekend it was a giant sigh of relief for everyone knowing that the car was still competitive and we still can unload any night knowing if we don’t make any mistakes and keep the car straight we can be in contention for a win!

To say I’m proud of our team is a huge understatement, we have been struggling to say the least starting last year on season opener. But we kept our nose down, never gave up, always tried our best to keep our spirits high and it finally all paid off on Saturday, that one was for you Deuce

Thank you so much to all of the sponsors, family, friends, and fans for all of your support and we will see you back at the bullring on Friday night!!🏁

No Racing for us this weekend. But on a positive note.

Tip of the cap to Cole Schill and the whole Schill Motorsports family, they have had a good car all year and much like us have been struck with bad luck. Cole was able to pick up the win tonight in greenbush, and this win meant more to me and I’m sure to him as well than just an NLRA feature win, Cole lost his dad last year and this was the first win since his passing, I know I wasn’t the only one getting teary when he crossed the line tonight.
Congratulations Cole and team!!

And on another positive note, the 27p Streeter parked it in victory lane going back to back on the weekend with his win on Friday as well, Congratulations to Tucker and the entire Joey Pederson Racing team !

We are River Cities Speedway bound!

Tonight is an NLRA race and we are the support class to the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, you can catch every lap live on DirtVision.

Hoping for some better luck and some redemption from last week, we had a good car last Friday in the feature. Started 13th and passed up to 6th and the driver messed up and squared up an infield tire and ended our night, thanks to Matt Kroke for putting in some long hours with me on Friday night to get the car back together.

Thank you to our sponsors, family and friends that allow our team to be competitive and run up front!!
