National Highways:
Additional overnight closures between Acle roundabout and the Postwick Interchange - 12 and 13 September
We’ll close Acle roundabout and the end sections of New Road and the A1064 overnight (8pm to 6am) on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September for resurfacing work.
We’ll also close the A47 between Acle and Vauxhall roundabout in Great Yarmouth.
The westbound A47 will be fully closed but the eastbound A47 will only be closed by default, due to the roundabout being closed.

Rogue Trader Alert - Doorstep Cold Callers offering garden work - 7 August 2024
We are warning residents to be on their guard after receiving reports of doorstep cold callers offering garden work.
This follows reports of a male going door to door in the Rollesby area offering to undertake a range of garden work.
Our advice is never deal with doorstep cold callers and never agree to have work done on or around your property if approached in this way.
If you see cold callers operating in Norfolk please contact us through our partners the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or Norfolk Police via 101.
If you feel intimidated or are concerned for vulnerable neighbours call 999

We’d like to make residents aware of reports we've received of 'Nottingham Knockers' - suspected fraudulent cold-callers knocking on doors, trying to sell goods in the county.
We received reports yesterday afternoon and evening (Wed 31 July) from Acle, Blofield and Caister of men going door to door trying to sell various items out of a bag, claiming they have recently been released from prison and are trying to make some money.
This is a common technique used by criminals, and residents will sometimes be met with aggression from the sellers when refusing to buy anything.
🔒 In these circumstances we would advise residents to make sure their house is secure, front and back, before answering any doors and if you don't recognise the person, to consider only speaking to them through a closed, locked door, if at all.
🗣️ Tell them you are not interested, and ask them to leave, despite any persistence.
We would always advise you not to agree to buy goods from, or have work done, by anyone who calls unannounced or approaches you in the street. Sometimes such traders are operating fraudulently, and will target vulnerable residents.
📞 If you ever feel immediately threatened by a cold-caller, call us on 999.
Anyone with information about suspected rogue traders or suspicious cold-callers can report this to us on our website: https://orlo.uk/EP0Qz
Alternatively call us on 101 (in a non-emergency), or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
