DONATION TO International Watercolor Society (IWS) ART AID AUCTION
Since this auction has been started to support the Turkish and Syrian communities, please do not put any comment on the auction item, unless you are making a bid. Our aim here is to run the auction process as smoothly as possible and reach the maximum number of those interested.
Please also share the auction art piece within your social network platforms, asking and encouraging others to participate in the auction.
This endeavor will be known as IWS Art Aid and in the future will raise funding for those impacted either by war or natural disasters.
Procedure to participate in this project
1. The Art donor should write this info on the art image.
MY DONATION TO IWS ART AID, ARTIST NAME AND SURNAME, SHIPPING COUNTRY, PAINTING TITLE, SIZE, MEDIUM.
Donations are open for any art medium which is easy to ship internationally. Any painting techniques are welcome, but only high-quality original art will be accepted for the auction.
2. The artist will be responsible for packaging, ready to send once payment has been confirmed, but not the shipping costs.
3. The buyer may bid by commenting on the post, or may buy immediately at the “buy it now” price.
4. Each bid is in an increment of any amount USD or Turkish TL. The buyer must bid higher than the previous bid price.
5. Artwork sold will be followed by the administrator. The buyer needs to pay the bidding amount to a designated account. see below.
6. Proof of payment (receipt) should be added to comment field corresponding to the image of the purchased art. Then the artist will ship the artwork to the buyer who will bear the shipping cost.
7. Each auction shall last for 1 week. The artist can upload his/her artwork anytime, but it shall not stay up for more than 7 days.
8. Should there be a conflict between the buyer and the artist, the IWS is relieved of any responsibility. 9. The winning bid amount can be paid to the IWS Turkey (Turkiye) which has permission from the government to collect aid for the earthquake area. This is the safest way to make the donation. There is no cost to submit work for consideration. Only accepted artists will be required to
pay an exhibition fee of $50 USD per piece. Artists will be notified how to submit payment at that time.

As fall leaves flutter over Tuscany creating a kaleidoscope of vivid colors. It is the same fresh crisp cool air that turns the leaves from green to varying shades of yellow, orange and red that also ripens the grapes, the chestnuts and the mushrooms.
There is change of flavors from panzanella with fresh tomatoes and basil to polenta with porcini. Instead of an abundance of plums, peaches and melons and prosciutto you now find combinations of grapes, figs with salumi, pears and apples with pecorino cheese.
The signs of the fall equinox are harbingers for new activities and itineraries in Tuscany. The sunflowers have been replaced with black eye Susans, the persimmons are beginning to turn orange and you can smell the lingering scent of smoke as the farmers begin to clear out their gardens. These changes are evident as you drive by the vineyards, which are no longer heavy with fruit, and they are visible as you pass by the groves where they have already started to lay out the nets in preparation of the next big harvest: olives!!!

Watercolor artists are invited via the FB page to discover opportunities to submit their work to competitions in other states and countries!
