Boat Owners in Amsterdam UNITE

I have not been posting much as I am not sure if there is much interest in this page, BUT for those fellow AMS boaters that do check this space;

Be careful of police boats patrolling the waters around Henneke's Boom, near the Gemeente in Waterlooplein, anywhere on the Amstel and also around the Flower Market.

I was just out for about an hour and counted 4 police boats, NOT WaterNet. I've been boating nearly 7 years on these canals and have NEVER seen so many police on the water. They are also being pretty aggressive. I was shouted at, "rustig varen" or something like that while actually moving within the 6km/hr limit.

I started this page last summer with the intention of arranging boat meet ups on the water. I would still like to do this, but obviously have not paid much attention to the page lately.

I’d also be interested in partaking in any protests against these stupid new laws they are trying to impose against canal boaters.

If anyone is interest in doing either one of these things, then please like the page, and message me with your ideas.
