Mill Street Art Gallery
Isaiah 63:1…”bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes”…when Bennie Bock’s historic office building, located at 387 W. Mill Street, burned on March 13, 2014, it created the opportunity to honor the historic significance that this downtown thoroughfare of New Braunfels has to offer by constructing a combination commercial office building and art gallery. From the antique exterior brick consisting of “butter” bricks taken from the original New Braunfels Hospital, dubbed the “Krankenhaus”; to the salvaged wood flooring; to the conference room table constructed from the floor of an old cistern, the Mill Street Art Gallery exhibits beauty, elegance and history while displaying one-of-a-kind, original artworks available for purchase.
