Miniature Scenery
Miniature Scenery create MDF kits for hobbyists around the world. We make lasercut model kits for hobbyists around the world!
It's been a while since I have done the social media thing and people say I should do more. So to break the ice, I am pleased to announce we will be at Bendi-Con expo tomorrow for a local day of pop culture and nerdy hobby celebration.
We are also next to the local guys from Half Inch out Gaming who will be running demo games of a variety of different table top games.
Come and say hi!
Pax Aus day!
Busy day.
Come say Hi!
We are back at Pax Aus! Come say hi.
See anything new?
Beasts Gaming painted up a set of our Forsaken ruins for their event earlier this year and sent us a WIP shot. Tiny dinosaur for scale!
Pax is on in a few weeks, we will have new sets out then :)
Black cutting mats are now back in stock!
You can order them individually or as part of our portable workstations.
Did you know the circles on the right hand side are designed to help with line of sight marking on the bases of your models?
Introducing Den City!
This dense set of ruined city table top terrain is ideal for 40k tournaments or anyone who needs to keep their hobby in a tiny space. The entire table packs up into a dense box about the size of a large shoe (maybe boots) box.
That's right, it's Den City by name, dense on the tabletop and dense when packed up.
The entire set is $190 aud and that includes free postage for anyone in Australia.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of the amazing designer and model maker Craig Clark, aka. Mousemuffins after his battle with cancer.
Craig was been an amazing influence on a great many people across all forms of model making from sculpting and casting to painting and design, Craig knew it all and was always happy to share his knowledge and creations. Craig's catalogue of work stretches far beyond Miniature Scenery and includes things like Golden Demon trophies, Gundams, historical modelling and his new 3d printed model designs. I know he had plans for many more projects in future which made it hard to watch his illness rob him of his ability to create as his cancer progressed.
Miniature Scenery will dearly miss Craig and his amazing inventions but you have not seen the last of them. There were many more designs in the pipeline that will slowly be finished and released in due time despite the untimely demise of their creator. Craig would have wanted them released and (as soon as I figure out his scattershot file structures) they will be.
Rest in peace friend.
Check out this amazing set of our New Paranoia buildings built and painted by Green Leaf Terrain for MiniWarGaming in Canada!
Adam at Green Leaf has customised a bunch of the kits with holes for plants and mud and all sorts of extra details. Really I'm jealous it makes out own set look rather boring by comparison. There are a whole bunch of work in progress pictures on his page.
You will be able to see the terrain on the miniwargaming channel in future battle reports and a Youtube Shorts here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/muXpmMkhrNk
Thanks to both Gren Leaf Terrain and MWG Studios for making a set like this possible.
It's been a long time since our last release or any news and we will get back onto those new kits soon.
For now though the news from the last few months is that our designer, Craig (some of you may know him as MouseMuffins) is currently dealing with cancer. The cancer has been diagnosed as curable but is affecting his ability to think clearly or have any energy at all. As you can imagine for a design genius like Craig, it's driving him insane not being able to create things.
We obviously wish him all the best with his recovery as he goes through chemo and treatment over the next few months.
Orders will continue to flow out the door, and we will get onto new releases eventually.
Get well soon Craig!
MiniWarGaming have featured our terrain in a Killteam battle report and WOW did they do an amazing job painting it. Image is just a screen grab and doesn't do the table the justice it deserves.

This huge kit can transport most of our other vehicles and is perfect for adding to any futuristic battlefield.
Always great know our terrain is out there getting used for games. This set being used for Star Wars Legions at Briscon today thanks to Phoenix Games Australia
Table Top Time have added the next part of their Cathedral build using our Forsaken Ruins. This time they have added stained glass windows to the Apse section and they look just as amazing as it sounds.
Jen goes over a few options for making these yourself and I will make the window outlines available on our website if you want to give it a go.

Please give them a video like and a subscribe so they keep the project rolling. Perhaps I can convince them to make an entire New Paranoia table next :)

Unfortunately we will not be attending Cancon this year in Canberra. To make up for that though we will be running a week long sale starting right now and finishing next Wednesday. Please remember to use the discount code at checkout: seeyouallnextyear
We love Cancon and think its the best event on our calendar every year. The focus on tabletop games means the venue is filled with like minded hobbyists and the tournaments and events are some of the most anticipated for whatever system you play. I really hope Tim and the crew at Cancon have a great year and hope to see you all there next year in 2023!
Mousemuffins is branching out into designing and selling his own highly detailed model kits. The first project as seen here is an amazingly cute one man steampunk submarine that (hopefully) will be available in multiple scales.
It's still early days yet, but if you love watching a design process for kits like these then please follow his page. He has already put up several posts just on this one project.
Miniature Scenery will of course be helping out with any laser cutting that needs to be done which reminds me I have some port hole windows to cut.
Please give his page a follow!
Oh and just to be clear, he will still be designing for Miniature Scenery, that part isn't changing 🙂
We have finally added a tournament set of terrain to our list of products. By keeping the details lower than usual we have been able to keep this complete set under $200au!

Most items will not be available individually (only in this set).
If any tournament organisers like the look of this set, feel free to contact us.
A random sale for the long weekend here in Victoria. 20% off our Hobby category. Ends Monday.

Let's update a U-boat post. (part XV)
a small thing today. While I'm waiting for 3D test prints and wotnot, I painted up the worlds tiniest enigma machine.
There will be a bigger, more exiting post probably later this week with more pictures and stuff. I've (mostly) finished moving house and have my work area all set up so work can begin in earnest completing this fairly enthusiastic kit.
Question: I'm planning a few other WW2 themed models. What kinds of (ww2) things would you like to see?
Question: What goes "Woof, Honk, Clank"?
Answer: I don't know but it looks angry.
New Mechanical Puppy kit now available. Comes with two alternate heads and an oval base.

Something quick today to help with wound marking on table top battlefields.

These Dice Pointers hold the standard 12mm chessex size dice and come with a variety of icons.
I love seeing our conversion kits out in the wild around social media, but I regret not saving the images when I find them.
If anyone out there has used our conversion kits please post them! I know I have seen amazing Salamanders and Black Legion paint jobs on others but I can't find them anywhere.
Every now and then people send in finished projects using our kits and to be honest I've been really slack about sharing them. This diorama of an 'Arf Trak was sent to us back in January and the idea of using different smaller scale miniatures to turn it into a giant junk hauler really blew us away.
As Leigh described in his email he made a couple of changes for his own amusement. First he changed the gun and added some railings for the scale he wanted. Then turned some 1:72 RAF crew figurines into Mad Max like scrapers.
Great work Leigh. We look forward to seeing what you make next.
Available Now!
The portal to all things spooky and PG rated. the Heck Gate of DOOM!
https://miniaturescenery.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=250
Get in quick! There isn't any limit, I just want to get as many people into the gate as we can before something goes wrong.
Making instructions is always the worst part of the creating process, but we try to have some fun on the way.
News kits on the way soon.
Oh. Look. This is exciting.
I now have two Whole U-boats to test build and possibly paint.
We have managed to reduce the cutting time considerably for the standard kit with a simplified deck and much more basic (but still nicely representative) conning tower. The big photo shows all the laser cut parts for the HD version all laid out on a decidedly indifferent bit of sad grey carpet.
Bothe versions of the kit will come with a small selection of tubing for guns and periscopes and wotnot. HD kit will come with a bonus Cargo chest!
A separately available bunch of STL files will also exist for those of you that just have to have all of the bits. Replacement guns and periscopes and a few more details. And the worlds tiniest enigma machine.
On with the build! Stay tuned for updates....
