Happy Fire Cider is a popular and tasty! This tasty vinegar infusion powered by warming and wellness supporting ingredients is an especially pleasant and easy way to boost natural health processes, and stimulate digestion.


Winter is coming are you ready ?

You’ll need 👇🏾

1 medium organic onion, chopped
10 cloves of organic garlic, crushed or chopped
2 organic jalapeno peppers, chopped
Zest and juice from 1 organic lemon
1/2 cup fresh grated organic ginger root (or organic ginger root powder).
1/4 cup organic turmeric chopped ( chopped and peeled)
1/4 tsp. organic cayenne powder
1- 2 wiri wiri dried chilis ( my personal recipe )
2 Tbsp. of dried rosemary / parsley/ oregano / thyme / basil leaves
1 tbsp humble soul diy elderberry blend ( my personal recipe )
2-3 cups organic apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup of raw, local honey, or to taste

Prepare your roots, fruits, and herbs and place them in a quart-sized glass jar.

Pour the apple cider vinegar in the jar until all of the ingredients are covered and the vinegar reaches the jar's top.

Use a piece of natural parchment paper under the lid to keep the vinegar from touching the metal, or a plastic lid if you have one. Shake well.

Store in a dark, cool place for a month and remember to shake daily.

After one month, use cheesecloth to strain out the pulp, pouring the vinegar into a clean jar. Be sure to squeeze as much of the liquidy goodness as you can from the pulp while straining.

Next comes the honey. Add and stir until incorporated.

Taste your cider and add more honey until you reach the desired sweetness.

🔥people usually take 1–2 tablespoons daily as an immune booster. However, people who find the tonic strong can dilute it in a glass of water

🔥 fire cider can last for up to 12-18 months in a cool, dark cupboard, but may darken over time

🔥place a few cups in a glass cake pan and freeze it. After an hour or so, flake it up with a fork. Freeze it again. Do this a few times and you'll have a great immune boosting slush.

🔥 fire cider may assist in weight loss and maintenance

🔥 refrigeration is an option, but not at all necessary

Apple cider vinegar, or cider vinegar, is a vinegar made from fermented apple juice, and used in salad dressings, marinades, vinaigrettes, food preservatives, and chutneys. It is made by crushing apples, then squeezing out the juice.

🌱The pH of apple cider vinegar is about 2-3, which is considered mildly acidic.

🌱pH is a measure of acidity, with 1 being the most acidic and 7 being neutral

🌱 How much apple cider vinegar a day should you drink?

For general health, experts recommend drinking 1-2 tablespoons of ACV per day.

🌱 apple cider vinegar is known to prevent diabetes, but when you are already on diabetes drugs or on insulin, avoid having apple cider vinegar also may interact with diuretics, laxatives

🌱 acv contains vitamins C and B, as well as acetic acid which increases the body’s absorption of important minerals from the foods we eat and slows down the rate at which the body turns carbohydrates into sugar

🌱 never consume apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach and always take it diluted with something

🌱other uses for apple cider vinegar

* Fruit Fly Trap: Pour some apple cider vinegar into a cup and add a few drops of dish soap to sink the flies.

* Boil Better Eggs: Adding vinegar to the water you use to boil eggs can help you produce consistently good eggs.

* Wash Fruits and Vegetables: Apple cider vinegar removes more of the chemical residues or pesticides, and it helps kill any dangerous bacteria on the food.

* W**d Killer: Spray undiluted vinegar on unwanted weeds in your garden

* Get Rid of Fleas: Spray a mixture of one part water and one part apple cider vinegar onto your pet to create an environment that fleas won’t want to hang around in.

Plants that grow in water are called hydrophytes or macrophytes.

Water plants that can survive in water indefinitely are split into four different categories: deepwater plants, floating plants, marginal plants, and oxygenated plants.

The method for growing plants in water is known as hydroponics.

Tips:

👉🏾Roots generally like to grow away from light, so colored bottles, mostly amber-colored ones, are best. You can wrap a piece of paper around the bottle to keep the root zone in the dark.

👉🏾Avoid using chlorinated water directly as the bleaching chemical is not exactly friendly to plant tissues.

👉🏾For vegetables and fruits once sprouted they will need to planted. It’s always best to your research on which zone you are in.

Spice blends👇🏾💃🏽

🐔 2 teaspoons dried sage
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
½ teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 tsp of salt

🐷 ½ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
2 Tbsp. kosher salt
1 and ½ tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried rosemary

🫑 1 teaspoon coarse Kosher salt
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder

Storing Herbs 101 🌱

🌱dried spices tend to last longer than dried herbs, and the more whole or less processed seasoning is, the longer its shelf life

🌱dried herbs typically last 1–3 years

🌱 dried herbs and spices do best with👇🏾

Cool, dark cupboard (not the fridge). Minimal exposure to light, moisture (humidity), and air.

🌱 some people prefer not to wash their herbs before drying because that could add moisture and cause spoilage

😮‍💨( but I always say go wash herbs before any use )😮‍💨(11:11)❤️🫶🏾🧿

Freezing herbs is easy. 🌱

There's no need to blanch them; just rinse, remove the leaves from the stems and let them dry on a flat tray.🌱

Freeze Herbs last for up to 12 months. 🌱

Affirmations: The action or process of affirming something or being affirmed.
 
Words and thoughts have power. When you repeat them often, they can, in various ways, affect and make changes in your environment.
 
It is a positive thought and belief that can change your thought patterns and overcome negative self-talk.

Turn negatives into positives. 👇🏾
If you are struggling with negative self-talk, note down the persistent thoughts or beliefs that are bothering you. Then choose an affirmation that is the opposite of that thought and belief.
 
For example, if you habitually think, "I'm not talented enough to progress in my career," turn this around and write a positive affirmation such as, "I am a skilled and experienced professional.

Meditation is a very grounded and effective way to relieve stress while also promoting self-awareness. Just as there are many different reasons why people meditate, there are many kinds of meditation. Knowing something about them can help us choose which ones are right for us.

Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Mindfulness is the awareness of “some-thing,” while meditation is the awareness of “no-thing.” There are many forms of meditation. Some are aimed at developing a clear and focused mind, known as 'Clear Mind' meditations. ’

Happy everyone, today we are going to learn about deep breathing OR (belly breathing). Belly breathing you simply take long consecutive breaths. Ideally you breath five counts breath in, 6 counts hold and 5 seconds breath out. When deep breathing it’s important to not overthink it. I have found if you take 2-5 minutes everyday to simply be still your life will change drastically. Opposite of the fight or flight stress response in that you engage the nervous system to tell your body to relax and your mind to be at ease.

Happy everyone, today we are going to learn about six different meditation techniques. Meditation is a very grounded and effective way to relieve stress while also promoting self-awareness. Just as there are many different reasons why people meditate, there are many kinds of meditation. Knowing something about them can help us choose which ones are right for us.

Spiritual Meditation: Meditation is an essential part of Eastern spiritual traditions such as Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. Depending on the tradition, spiritual meditation may also include elements of silent, spoken, or chanted prayer.

Mindfulness Meditation: This meditation technique, which has become extremely popular in the West, is based on the teachings of the Buddha. Mindfulness meditation can be instrumental in helping us understand how our minds work.

Movement Meditation: Many forms of meditation encourage you to remain in one position, but movement meditation focuses on the body in motion.

Focused Meditation: In this technique, we concentrate exclusively on whatever it is that we are doing it is the exact opposite of multi-tasking.

Visualization Meditation: In this meditation technique, an image that creates a particular feeling or quality is recalled. In a simple way, we can close our eyes and imagine a beautiful mountain lake or even a beach.

Chanting Meditation: While chanting, the mind should be focused on the sound of the words and melody.

Happy Mindful Monday Everyone, and Happy Full Moon! For the next couple of weeks, we are going to begin learning about meditation. The earliest documented records that mentioned meditation involved Vedantism, which is a Hindu tradition in India, around 1500 BCE. However, historians believe that meditation was practiced before this time, as early as 3000 BCE. (Before Current Era)
 
The English word “meditation” stems from meditatum, a Latin term meaning “to ponder.” To ponder is to think about (something) carefully, especially before deciding or reaching a conclusion.
 
It’s important to remember that meditation can help everyone. (You do not have to be religious)
 
 Benefits Include:
Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations.
Building skills to manage your stress.
Increasing self-awareness.
Focusing on the present.
Reducing negative emotions.
Increasing imagination and creativity.
Increasing patience and tolerance.
 
There are five basic human senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. The sensing organs associated with each sense send information to the brain to help us understand and perceive the world around us which goes hand and hand with meditation.

Happy thankful Thursday everyone, today I am thankful for myself and my boundaries.Now this is something I won’t be doing every week but I believe 100% that sometimes we have to pat ourselves on the back. This past year was a year that I never excepted. From getting divorced to moving 4,000 miles away then moving back choosing myself has become a daily choice for me.

If you follow my blog then you know that I’ve recently posted a blog about boundaries. Boundaries can be
defined as the limits we set with other people, which indicates what we find acceptable and unacceptable in their behavior toward us. From physical to emotional boundaries, I believe each boundary should be taught in school as a basic human right. I believe it would protect children, teenagers and even adults from putting them in situations they do not wanna be in.
