It may be hard to get us on the phone today/tomorrow, if you leave a voicemail we will get back to you asap. Thankyou for your patience and we hope to have everything running smoothly again asap 🙏❤️
I want to dedicate today’s “International Cat Day” to my beautiful Narlsy who sadly went over the rainbow bridge a couple of months ago. We got Narla from the pound approximately 11 years ago. She was the best cat and we all miss her so much. We love you forever Narlsy and cannot wait to see you again ❤️😭 😭😭
Happy birthday to our superstar Mel 💗 🎂
Thankyou Mel for your dedication to the Riverina’s bereaved families and the loving care you give to every beloved Pet that comes into care. 💗🎂

This is what working from home looks like 🤣
Happy humpday everyone 💕 Meeghan
There is a PARVO OUTBREAK in Wagga!
Vaccinated ✅
💉 Please don’t walk your unvaccinated pup in Wagga. Parvo can live up to 2years in the right conditions and is very contagious. Pups need a course of three vaccines with their last vaccinations at 16 weeks of age.
Pup cuddles with nurses are the best part of vaccinations!
Check out this lovely board our Rene has put together from the cards we have received 😍
We have had some new keepsake urn stock arrive. We are especially loving the yellow. These urns are 7cm tall x 4.5cm wide. They are perfect if wanting to give others eg other family members a small portion of your pets ashes as a keepsake. They are also the perfect size to fit tiny pets in eg Guinea Pigs.
How sweet are these two ❤️ ever since our dog Choccy lost his best mate (Snoogy) a few months ago, he and Narlsy the cat have become closer.

UPDATE: pups have rescue with Victoria Lamb Rescue Inc 👏
Anyone out there looking to be a Christmas Angel and spend their holidays cleaning up after a litter of large breed pups 🙏? It’s rewarding …trust me 😬
These pups are 7 weeks old . Mastiff x Amstaff we are told . Located Young NSW
Owner has contacted pound with intention to surrender but local pound is full . We are full . Everywhere, every rescue, every shelter is full ☹️ I do know there are many others impounded that may be in higher need but we have been called for these ones .
We’re looking for someone who can foster these pups . Prefer local (within an hour from Temora NSW for the pups to have necessary vet work /checks ) and we will organise to get mum desexed as well .
Other areas would be considered. Any rescues with a puppy carer available please get in touch so together we can ensure the pups remain safe .
Call Sue 0437010492 if you , or you know anyone please .

Just as we would feel a little worried if someone actually came shimmying down our chimney on Christmas Eve, your cat may feel a little anxious about unfamiliar Christmas guests too! If you’re expecting jolly company this Christmas, reduce your cat’s stress by providing them with a quiet, secluded area away from guests. Furnish this area with a litter tray, a comfortable bed, and some water. It may also help to spray some calming feline scent hormone around “the cat zone” too.
Ask our team for more tips on low-stress seasonal support for your pet.
A Letter from the Rainbow Bridge
Hi, Mom, Dad,
Now that I’ve been across The Rainbow Bridge for a couple weeks, they said I should write a letter home. Sorry, Mom but I’m so busy ‘across the bridge’ that I haven’t thought of home much. They said it’s okay and that you would understand. I hope you do. (I think you will.)
Remember that night when I wasn’t feeling very well and we were all crying? I don’t remember much, but I do remember seeing and hearing all of you and feeling your touches and hugs…I remember hearing “we love you” and that one last command of “Go through”. I didn’t know what you meant, so I turned around and walked through the fog that was in front of me. I saw the biggest bridge I’ve ever seen! And so many friends on the other side of it! They were all playing with toys and balls! You were right to tell me to go there!
My feet kept moving forward, but my heart kept pulling me back. Your touches became lighter and lighter and I wanted to come back and nudge your hands for more love, but I was overcome by this feeling of curiosity for the happy place over the bridge! My feet started moving on their own, like a gentle breeze was moving them forward for me! I can’t explain it, but I had no doubt that it was the right thing to do!
So, I walked across that big, huge bridge by myself! I looked for you, because you’re always by my side, walking with me, but this was different. I didn’t have a collar around my neck or a leash connecting me to you ~ I was ‘free’! Even though you weren’t there with me, I never felt alone! I actually felt like I had a huge cape of love wrapped around my body and the more I walked, the easier it was to breathe! So, I kept walking! And I would feel more warmth in the big hug, so I kept on walking! I eventually made it over the big bridge – I did it by myself, mom. When I got here, all of my new friends greeted me and helped me walk off the bridge ~ it was so cool! They gave me a pair of wings and said that I was now a Guardian Angel!
What I’ve learned over these past few weeks has been amazing and nothing like I’ve seen before! We’re all the same up here ~ we all have wings and we all have Forever People to watch over ~ that’s YOU, mom !You’re my Forever Person and I’m your Forever Dog! We had such a great life together and I do miss you a LOT, but please know that I am so happy in my new home across The Bridge!
I’ll send you another Earth Angel so you won’t be alone. Give them your whole heart, like you gave it to me. I’ll check in every so often to make sure they treasure your love ~ I always did! When you miss me, think of a rainbow and know I’m on the other side of it, waiting to walk with you again. I’ll always be in your heart. I love you, mom!
Time for me to go play...
IMPORTANT TICK WARNING
Meet Jack. Jack is very fortunate to still be alive after getting tick paralysis, spending nearly a week in hospital and then further recovery at home. His owners love him very much so when they went to the coast with him they used a supermarket tick prevention on him. Unfortunately they were unaware that most of the supermarket brands are not effective and Jack ended up with 2 ticks and paralysis.
To make matters worse there is currently a CRITICAL SHORTAGE OF TICK ANTISERUM Australia wide.( Fortunately we still had some).
So the important message is - if you are taking your dogs into a tick area these holidays it is EXTREMELY important to prevent your dogs picking up ticks. Use only reputable brands of tick prevention (not supermarket brands).
Check them daily as well.
If your dog becomes affected , there may not be antiserum available, and some dogs can not be saved even with antiserum.
If you have any doubts or questions about suitable tick preventions please phone us at the clinic for further information.

This is a beautiful letter from Fiona Apple explaining to her fans why she must postpone a concert date. I am impressed at the way she was instantly able to make the decision to choose love over her career. Indeed, the world needs more of this. Enjoy the story...
It's 6pm on Friday, and I'm writing to a few thousand friends I have not met yet. I'm writing to ask them to change our plans and meet a little while later.
Here's the thing.
I have a dog, Janet, and she's been ill for about 2 years now, as a tumor has been idling in her chest, growing ever so slowly. She's almost 14 years old now. I got her when she was 4 months old. I was 21 then — an adult, officially — and she was my kid.
She is a pitbull, and was found in Echo Park, with a rope around her neck, and bites all over her ears and face.
She was the one the dogfighters use to puff up the confidence of the contenders.
She's almost 14 and I've never seen her start a fight, or bite, or even growl, so I can understand why they chose her for that awful role. She's a pacifist.
Janet has been the most consistent relationship of my adult life, and that is just a fact. We've lived in numerous houses, and joined a few makeshift families, but it's always really been just the two of us.
She slept in bed with me, her head on the pillow, and she accepted my hysterical, tearful face into her chest, with her paws around me, every time I was heartbroken, or spirit-broken, or just lost, and as years went by, she let me take the role of her child, as I fell asleep, with her chin resting above my head.
She was under the piano when I wrote songs, barked any time I tried to record anything, and she was in the studio with me, all the time we recorded the last album.
The last time I came back from tour, she was spry as ever, and she's used to me being gone for a few weeks, every 6 or 7 years.
She has Addison's Disease, which makes it more dangerous for her to travel, since she needs regular injections of Cortisol, because she reacts to stress and excitement without the physiological tools which keep most of us from literally panicking to death.
Despite all this, she's effortlessly joyful & playful, and only stopped acting like a puppy about 3 years ago. She is my best friend, and my mother, and my daughter, my benefactor, and she's the one who taught me what love is.
I can't come to South America. Not now. When I got back from the last leg of the US tour, there was a big, big difference.
She doesn't even want to go for walks anymore.
I know that she's not sad about aging or dying. Animals have a survival instinct, but a sense of mortality and vanity, they do not. That's why they are so much more present than people.
But I know she is coming close to the time where she will stop being a dog, and start instead to be part of everything. She'll be in the wind, and in the soil, and the snow, and in me, wherever I go.
I just can't leave her now, please understand. If I go away again, I'm afraid she'll die and I won't have the honor of singing her to sleep, of escorting her out.
Sometimes it takes me 20 minutes just to decide what socks to wear to bed.
But this decision is instant.
These are the choices we make, which define us. I will not be the woman who puts her career ahead of love & friendship.
I am the woman who stays home, baking Tilapia for my dearest, oldest friend. And helps her be comfortable & comforted & safe & important.
Many of us these days, we dread the death of a loved one. It is the ugly truth of Life that keeps us feeling terrified & alone. I wish we could also appreciate the time that lies right beside the end of time. I know that I will feel the most overwhelming knowledge of her, and of her life and of my love for her, in the last moments.
I need to do my damnedest, to be there for that.
Because it will be the most beautiful, the most intense, the most enriching experience of life I've ever known.
When she dies.
So I am staying home, and I am listening to her snore and wheeze, and I am revelling in the swampiest, most awful breath that ever emanated from an angel. And I'm asking for your blessing.
I'll be seeing you.
Love,
Fiona
