Year 9! And what a beautiful year it has been. Watching The Greyson Project grow is such a privilege. It’s an annual reminder for us that the small things are the big things, kindness spreads like wildfire, and NEVER underestimate the power of your friends, family and community. 🥰
No matter what part of this project has touched you this season, whether it be assembling a bag, receiving one or anything in between…we are so grateful for you. We have accomplished so much in 9 short years. Way more than any of us ever could have predicted. So let me tell you where we started… and where we are today!
In 2015, 71 bags of holiday decorations were collected and delivered to 2 Florida hospitals in honor of Greyson. These bags represented the love and support that surrounded him and his family in his hospital room.
9 years later, 35 hospitals in 14 states received a record breaking 2,403 bags that made it to the rooms of children who want nothing more than to be home for the holidays. And, although we couldn’t change their circumstances, our hope is that these gifts made their rooms feel just a little bit more like home than they did before.
12,625bags in 9 years.
LET ME REPEAT THAT!!!!
12,625 bags!!
Every year I look at these numbers growing and I pray that I never loose sight or forget the power of ONE. When I sit here and close my eyes and bring myself back to Greyson’s room I remember how I was changed. There was comfort for my friends in that tree and in those lights. Their family didn’t just send them a care package of decorations. They sent them a little bit of control when they didn’t have any. They sent them some normalcy in a place that they didn’t want to be. They sent them love. They sent them a feeling of home. So when I open my eyes and see this number…it really hits my heart. I am so grateful for the example that surrounded the Heineke family. Because it has led to 12,615 families feeling the same thing.
We at The Greyson Project hope that today you are surrounded with peace, love and some twinkling lights. But most importantly you find a feeling of home wherever you are. Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you for another amazing year.

The Greyson Project Because everyone wants to feel at home FOR THE HOLIDAYS Take Action
Another Greyson Project season has come to a close and what a season it has been! I hope all of you are feeling a moment of calm right about now as little ones have run off with their new treasures, or the morning feast has been devoured and cleaned up. That is where I am. This little quiet time has become one of my favorite parts of my Christmas Day tradition. This is the time I have carved out to sit and reflect on this amazing, not so little 😉 project, and recap all the accomplishments of the season.
I am begining to sound like a broken record but here I go again. The Greyson Project, has once again, had a record breaking year. For those of you that are not familiar with our journey let me share with you where we started. Our very first year quite honestly came to be on accident. In 2015 one bag set off a domino effect in the city of Orlando and in the course of two weeks, friends and family members of Greyson, delivered 71 bags of holiday decorations to the children that would find themselves, just like Greyson, spending Christmas in the hospital. This project has exponentially grown since then in a way that none of us ever could have predicted. Each of us that helps with this effort, in any way…big or small…have all had the privilege of being a part of something that has immeasurable impact and value. We give a bit of ourselves knowing that the recipients of these simple decorations are people we will never see, we will never know their story, but we know they deserve to have a Christmas that feels like home, no matter where they are or what their circumstances are. So we all do our part. You donate $10 in ornament hooks, create a complete bag, open your business doors for people to drop their bags off, help transport, you may be an ambassador in your city, or part of our admin team or make a monetary
donation that allows us to support all the moving parts of this. Please know, none of this would be a success with out your contribution. And that my friends, is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. It is also what has made our growth possible. So thank you for all you do, and all you give, and for your hearts.
I am so proud to announce that in 2022 The Greyson Project has continued to surpass
the accomplishments of the previous year. Our NATION WIDE TOTAL is 2,244 beautiful bags that filled the rooms of 37 hospitals in 16 states. Thank you to everyone of you that made this possible. And if one of these bags found you this season, I pray that it added a sliver of joy and normalcy to your time away from home. Please know that you have a village here at The Greyson Project that is thinking of you. I always end this post blown away that all of this can happen because of one gift. One bag. One room. One little boy.
To Greyson’s family, thank you for teaching us that the little things are really the big things.
From all of us at The Greyson Project we are wishing you a very Merry Christmas and no matter where you find yourself today we hope you are surrounded by some garland, window clings, twinkling lights…but most of all, love.
