Nomad Dwarf Main Event July 27, 2019 - Barona Speedway Phil Confer 77L takes home the victory in the Nomad Dwarf Main Event at Barona Speedway

We raced Barona last night and it was HOT! The racing was good in the ASI Nomad Dwarfs of Barona class. Finished 3rd in our heat, started 4th in the main and won it on a time shortened race. It was fun, wish we could have gotten the whole 20 in.

I just wish that Neilden Roundy-Miller could have been there last night to partake in after race celebrations! He works his brain pretty hard to get the right set ups on the car and double checking everything I do.

Saturday night was a great night. We were good in the heat, started on the pole of heat 1 and got passed by John Isabella. So we ended up taking 2nd, which put us in the redraw for the top 9 for the the main and qualified us for the special Fast Dash this week.

We ended up on the Pole for the fast dash and led it flag to flag winning it 2 race weeks in a row. Thanks to Razz Barlow for the $100.

We drew a 4 for the Main event start and we were holding our own until we got collected by a spinning car and had to go to the back of the pack early. We were working our way through the field had gotten up to 8th or 9th when the 7 car spun and we slid into him sideways. I don't remember much of it and the sequence of events are a little jumbled in my head. I do know that I ended up in the ambulance for a ride to the ER for concussion observation.

I am fine, still with a headache, vision is back to normal and dizzyness is pretty much gone.
