One of the things that amazed me during my herbal and holistic education was that food allergies and many others do not have to be permanent. There are many reasons why one may have an allergy and it seems that most of the time with holistic health options one can overcome their food allergies and go through life with a lot more ease and so many people end up loving the foods they couldn’t enjoy. Food allergies are not a permanent life long problem if you don’t want it to be. And the relief one gets when you no longer have to worry about life threatening allergies anymore. Some ways on how I healed my extreme lactose intolerance. 🥛🧀🍕🍦
I used to have really bad reactions to dairy. I would sometimes have different symptoms with different kinds of dairy or certain symptoms were stronger with certain types of dairy and less severe with other kinds of dairy. No matter what I just couldn’t handle it very well. I would have mild to severe stomach pains, mild to severe diarrhea, nausea and sometimes even a topical rash type reaction. It continued to get worse as I got older. Doctors told me it was something that people had and I had to live with it. I could take medicine to help which actually made it worse. And of course I could just avoid dairy forever. So many things are made with dairy and avoiding dairy became a much larger issue than I had thought. Once I started my holistic health journey for health reasons I learned so much about the gut and food.
I first eliminated all dairy for a period of time. During this time period I also started drastically reducing the chemicals used on me and in my home. Skin care, cleaners, dental care, plus more. During this dairy fast I consumed herbal teas and foods that were very nourishing and healing to the whole digestive system.
After a time I started to slowly reintroduce raw dairy (milk and mostly cheeses) back into my diet. This took a period of time but it got to where I was eating dairy again often. Not as often as I used to as I learned dairy is not meant to be consumed daily and is to be consumed in smaller quantities rather than larger. So I was mindful about my intake. This was great. I continue consuming herbs and food that are beneficial for my gut as well as REAL probiotic foods and drinks. After a time I can now consume any dairy and even some processed pasteurized dairy when it does happen to make its way on to my plate. I occasionally get gas when I consume too much which is a perfectly natural and normal response but I no longer have those horrific systems and no longer am I lactose intolerant. The body does amazing things. I thought I was never going to be able to have dairy again but it turns out that what I was consuming just wasn’t healthy.

Just because I study Old Testament and Judaism texts doesn’t mean I am Jewish
Just because I study Wiccan doesn’t mean I am Wiccan or a witch
Just because I study the Vedas doesn’t mean I am Hindu
Just because I study Buddhism and Ancient Egyptian ways doesn’t make me an Egyptian or a Buddhist.
Just because I study Science doesn’t mean I use Science as my religion
Just because I study Native American customs and attend their beautiful Pow Wows and much more doesn’t mean I am a Native American.
But what all of this does mean is I have an open mind and open heart.
It means I am less judgmental.
It means I am more accepting and aware.
It means I’m less ignorant which leads many towards sin, fear and hostility towards others or other ways of life.
It means I am more knowledgeable about the cultural differences and more aware of all of our similarities.
It means I have learned how similar all of the moral and ethical teachings of each are (some more so than others)
It means I can be more loving towards a group of people who may seem to be very different from myself.
It means I am more connected to God.
And most importantly it keeps me from following blind faith and being mislead by others who have not studied all of these ways, who are ignorant and think there is a right or wrong way and from leading me into sin and fear and ignorance.
Im so thankful that God, The Creator, The Great Spirit has lead me on these paths and has blessed me more so than I could have possibly imagined and keeps doing so to this day.
Even though I am forever condemned by Christians. I have seen the constant struggles and suffering they continue to go through and I have been able to rise above those same struggles and suffering.
I am none of these but also all of these plus more.
I study God, and all of The Creators ways and teachings.
I am aware and God has made ME better because of it.
