If that’s not a drop of sunshine, I don’t know what is! 💛💐💛 haha it’s also a real life version of the bouquet emoji! Life imitating art?

We have new flower crowns available for Mother’s Day! The best part about them, they are made from all dried and preserved flowers so they last forever and mom can wear them everywhere! Hurry, these are usually only special order so we only have a few on hand! Tell mom you think she’s a queen with her very own flower crown! 👑

Blooms in the cactus garden! It was a leap of faith to try to keep these bad boys growing year round in our Victorian greenhouse but made it happen with only a few middle of the night panics and dashes out in the snow to check and reset heating! Seeing them bloom makes it all worth while!

I don’t know why it took me so long to add a CU design; after years of doing them this time of year for graduation they are finally an option online! GO BUFFS!

When you are a florist and am you have to celebrate Mother’s Day when you can because May is blessfully bonkers! This morning made MYSELF the most stunning ranunculus bouquet from Little Hallow Flowers at the Boulder Farmers Market and now will play a flower hi ting board game with my family. 💗💗💗

Swoon. I love it when people order our ‘over-the-top’ option. This one’s called Persephone and I’m willing to wager that Hades himself would stop and smell these roses.

Let’s call this one berries and cream. These garden roses are heavenly 👼🏼

We started these peas as microgreens in our Leath Fieldhouse (which we ADORE BTW) when it was time to switch them out for new microgreens we split the choir and just plopped them on top of soil in these pots. This morning we built some cages for them and they are so stinking cute!

What you can do with leftover yogurt cups when they are so frigging cute! Those are mint and basil seedlings surrounded by dried statice from last year’s harvest 💜

It feels like everything is a bit late this spring. Daffodils that are usually up in early March are just now making their debut. Here are a few of the dozen of types of daffodils we have currently blooming on the farm! They are our founder’s birthday flower so she went hard on daffodil planting last fall and it is not disappointing! Best part, they naturalize!

Signs of spring at the farm! There is absolutely nothing like waking up early and going out to pick flowers for our daily designs and deliveries. Yesterday morning’s harvest was cold and misty but the birds were in full spring mode, the chatter was defending but so delightful!

Tis’ the season for…Cold Stratification! Step one in our indoor seed starting routine. What is cold stratification? Cold stratification replicates winter conditions for seeds that in nature experience cold weather before germinating. It’s an easy process that greatly improves germination.

Read below how to cold stratify your seeds and which seeds benefit from it:

How to: saturate half a sheet of paper towel with room temperature water. Pour your seed packet into the paper towel. Fold towel to comfortably fit inside a sandwich or snack sized ziplock bag. Label bag and place in refrigerator for 10 days to two weeks. Plant seeds as instructed on packet, be mindful of instructions to cover or not. That’s it, easy-peasy!

What seeds benefit from cold stratification? So many! When in doubt google it but the no.1 seed we always do this with are verbena binariensis. They have terrible germination without it. Snapdragons, pansies, and evening Primrose are another couple that we almost always cold stratify.

Have you cold stratified any of your seeds or will this be a first for you this year?
