✨NEW TEA RELEASE✨
El Chupacabra is a bold Green Brazilian Yerba Mate blended with cinnamon, ginger, black and white pepper, clove, nutmeg, and cardamon.
Mate is rich in caffeine and was used as a caffeine beverage in Latin America before the advent of coffee. This is our first Yerba Mate in our collection (not the last) but we thought the best flavors to couple with this earthy green tea were chai spices.
The chupacabra literally translates to 'goat-sucker' Spanish: ch**ar, 'to suck', and cabras, 'goats')
El Chupacabra is a legendary creature in the folklore from parts of the Americas, with its first purported sightings reported in Puerto Rico in 1995. The name comes from the how it apparently eats. The chupacabra is said to attack and drink the blood of all livestock, not just goats.

✨ NEW TEA RELEASE! ✨

THE KIRIN 🍃
This delicate and refreshing tea is a blend of Lotus, Bamboo, and Jasmin green tea.
It is our fresh new Cryptid tea for March! Link: ✨https://www.drogocoffee.com/product-page/the-kirin ✨
The Kirin, or qilin (Chinese: 麒麟) is a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in Chinese mythology, and is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. Kirin are a specific type of the lin mythological family of one-horned beasts. The Kirin also appears in the mythologies of other cultures, such as Japanese and Korean mythology.
Kirin generally have Chinese dragon-like features with similar heads with antlers and manes that always flow upward. The body is fully or partially scaled and often shaped like an ox, deer, or horse. They are always shown with cloven hooves. While dragons in China are also most commonly depicted as golden, Kirin may be of any color or even various colors, and can be depicted as bejeweled or exhibiting a jewel-like brilliance. Common color choices for depictions are often associated with the elements, precious metals, stars, and/or gemstones.
The Kirin is depicted throughout a wide range of Chinese art, sometimes with parts of their bodies on fire. On occasion, they will have feathery features, decorations, or fluffy, curly tufts of hair. It is said their voice sounds like the tinkling of bells, chimes, and the wind.

‼️Please continue to read for an in-depth history of this complicated Cryptid.‼️
Wendigo (/ˈwɛndɪɡoʊ/) is a mythological creature or evil spirit which originates from the folklore of First Nations based in and around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the United States, and the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada, grouped in modern ethnology as speakers of Algonquian-family languages A list of those in that group can found here including background, history and culture (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algonquian_peoples)
The wendigo normally is said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, that can possess humans. The wendigo is known to invoke feelings of insatiable greed/hunger and a need to commit murder/cannibalize humans that fall under it’s influence.
In some traditions, humans overpowered by greed could turn into wendigos. Other sources say wendigos were created when a human resorted to cannibalism to survive. Also, humans could turn into wendigos by being near the creature for an extended period of time.
Clashing with its portrayals in twentieth-century and twenty-first-century settler culture, in indigenous representations the wendigo is described as a giant humanoid with a heart of ice; a foul stench or sudden, unseasonable chill might warn of its approach. Possibly due to longtime identification by Europeans with their own superstitions about werewolves, Hollywood film representations often label the Wendigo as a beast hybrid. Normally including antlers or horns in the depictions, but such animal features do not appear in the original indigenous stories. Though, in our representation of the Wendigo we tried to include a blending of the two- while respecting its origin.
PLEASE, we encourage you to continue to educate yourself on the origin of this Cryptid and the cultures that it belongs to. Here are some pieces of media to help get you started:
