Experiential wilderness adventures in the Pacific Northwest's wilderness, based off a 1943 wooden yacht, private chartering only. A True Adventure Awaits You
"Just a magical experience from day one. We got so lucky with sightings of spirit bears, whales, grizzlies, and a wolf- just incredible to see and spend time with.
The captain, naturalist and entire crew were beyond compare-all so kind, friendly and interesting. We learned a ton and loved laughing at Colin's stories.
Kellie's food was incredible- so creative and tasty. We cannot say enough about the crew and how welcomed we felt. We'll treasure these memories (and pictures and videos) always!
Thank you, you all are amazing!"

Have you heard the mystical origins of the spirit bear according to Kitasoo Xai'xais legend?
It's said that the Raven transformed one in every ten black bears white, creating the spirit bear to remind the people of the ice-covered world long ago. This magical transformation was meant to make us grateful for the lush, bountiful lands we enjoy today. ๐ฟ๐ปโจ

๐ป๐ฒ Bear Basics: Black, Grizzly & Spirit Bears Explained! ๐ฒ๐ป
Did you know BC is home to three incredible bear species? Hereโs how to spot the differences:
Black Bears: The most common and smallest of the three, black bears are versatile and adaptable. They come in various colors from black to chocolate brown and even cinnamon!
Grizzly Bears: Larger and more robust than black bears, grizzlies can be recognized by their distinctive hu**ed shoulders and deeper face profile. They have a grizzled fur appearance, hence the name!
Spirit Bears (Kermode): A rare subspecies of the black bear, Spirit bears are known for their striking white or creamy fur. Found only in BC's Great Bear Rainforest, these bears are not albinos but have a unique genetic trait that results in their light coloring.
Each bear plays a vital role in our ecosystem and can be spotted while on board the Pacific Yellowfin ๐พ๐ณ

๐ Whale Watcherโs Guide to BCโs Coast! ๐
Ever wondered about the differences between humpback, grey, and minke whales that grace our beautiful BC coast? Letโs dive in!
๐ Humpback Whales: Known for their spectacular breaching and deep, haunting songs, humpbacks are massive, with long pectoral fins and unique tail markings.
๐ Grey Whales: These whales are famous for their long migrations. Grey whales can be identified by their mottled grey skin and streamlined bodies. They love to feed in the shallow coastal waters, often seen spyhopping and mud-sifting.
๐ Minke Whales: The smallest of our trio, minkes are sleek and fast. They are more elusive, often recognized by their pointed snouts, pointier fin and a white band on each flipper.
Lucky for us, all three species can be spotted along BC's Pacific coast! Can you identify which whale is in each photo?
"Words can not express the incredible family experience we had aboard the Pacific Yellowfin! Everyone in our family agrees it is our favorite family vacation ever.
From the moment we arrived on the boat, we were made to feel like family. The crew opened every space to us and made us feel at home.
Every part of the trip was relaxing and also filled with adventure. We even had the hit us on the last half hour of the trip when a humpback made an appearance."

"Itโs very easy to lose yourself out here. Like the ever-present mist that swirls around the verdant hills, time is a fuzzy notion.
With no mobile coverage and only one working clock on board (a deliberate move), you have to think long and hard to work out whether itโs Thursday or Saturday.
The yacht can get internet access by request, of course, but that would miss the point. The respite you get from being off-grid perfectly complements this special part of the planet, which also appears to be lost in time."

Additionally, the Pacific Yellowfin's large size, sturdy sea-kindly hull, and five watertight bulkheads ensure remarkable stability.
So, hop aboard with confidence and let the adventure begin! ๐โ
