Hey all!
To those of you close enough to BELOIT OR JANESVILLE,
Dexcom will be hosting a dinner program at Merrill & Houston’s in Beloit on Tuesday evening, September 13th starting at 6 pm, and because we here at Dexcom direct many of our customers to send their Dexcom prescriptions for Medicare patients to their local CVS stores, we would love to have your pharmacy staff as our guests! We will be reviewing best practices for sending Dexcom prescriptions for Medicare patients to CVS stores in the Q&A session after the presentation.
Our speaker will be Anita Swamy, MD who is a Pediatric Endocrinologist out of Northwestern University, however the focus of her talk will be how you can use CGM reports to aid you in managing Type 2 diabetes according to the most current clinical practice guidelines. Here are a few of the topics Dr. Swamy will touch on:
Limitations of A1C and finger sticks for diabetes management
2022 ADA Standards of Care: Clinical Practice Recommendations for Real-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring (RT-CGM)
AACE Clinical Practice Guidelines 2021: The Use of Advanced Technology in the Management of Persons with Diabetes
Professional Guidelines for Treatment of T2D: The AACE Glycemic Control Algorithm
Which patients are the best candidates for rt-CGM?
Real case studies highlighting how to use the information contained in CGM reports to apply the professional guidelines when making treatment decisions for your patients
