Hello. My name is Dr. Margo Merin, and I hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work.

My passion and primary focus is working within what I refer to as the “senior citizen universe.” I’m qualified to navigate within this sphere as I’ve been a card carrying senior for several decades, and I experience seniorhood in “living color.”

The focus of my endeavors do not fall within the formal definition of “social worker.” In my work, I draw from my extensive academic training and professional involvements, as well as from my personal life experiences.

When I reached eighty years of age (two years ago), I decided that I wanted to become a voice for my group, and I plan to do so for as long as I can. My goal is to motivate and guide seniors to make choices that will provide a purposeful and satisfactory life regardless of age and circumstances.

As you read the pages on my website, you will learn about the interactive Groups, Workshops, and Motivational Presentations that I offer. Key topics are: “Embracing Life,” “Ageism,” “Grief, Loss, and Bereavement,” “Self Care,” “Personal Forgiveness,” and “Life Coping Strategies.”

Also, my blog, entitled “Margo’s Senior Musings,” covers a myriad of topics that relate to living our lives as seniors.

I welcome you with these positive words:

“Live Each Day As Though It Is Your Last Day.”
