Namaste all! Today, LeNA had a successful and productive meeting with city of Lethbridge Mayor Blaine Hyggen. We discussed several key initiatives seeking how the mayor's office can support our efforts to execute our objectives. Our main agenda were
1. Nepali language classes
2. Sports activities
3. Nepali cultural preservation
4. Meeting hall and community hall
5. Place of faith

City office has noted our concerns and mentioned that they will guide us with what they can offer.

LeNA proudly participated in the Asian Heritage Festival 2024 organized by SAEA, showcasing our rich culture with a food vending stall, a cultural booth, and vibrant Nepali dance performances. Our involvement was a huge success, drawing many visitors who enjoyed the flavors of our cuisine, learned about our traditions, and were captivated by the energetic and colorful dance performances. We are grateful for the community's support and enthusiasm and look forward to future events where we can continue to share our heritage.

Member Monday: Featuring the Nepali Association of Lethbridge! Did you know Lethbridge has a huge community of Nepalese residents? Learn more about their group and culture at the Asian Heritage Festival Saturday May 25th from 12:00-4:00pm where they will be selling food, performing, and displaying beautiful cultural artifacts representing Nepalese culture.

These verses are from Taittiriya Upanishad [तैत्तिरीय उपनिषद्], originated in Vedic era and describe a mother as the divine creation of God, occupying the highest place in our lives.
