This programme will no doubt bring about a deeper meaning to the Oneness of Allah, so that the Muslim youth of today grow up firmly grounded in their religion.

Assalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah dear brothers,

I pray this message reaches you in the best of iman and health.

I would like to inform you that we have decided to postpone this week’s Friday Dars for the immediate future. We have taken the following into account when making this decision:

1. The situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak in London is evolving daily, and there are suggestions official public health advice may change in the coming days.

2. We have participants who are in contact with high risk groups such as the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions. Attending large gatherings can put those people at risk. Although we may have less risk it is imperative that we do whatever we can to protect our elders.

We will keep you updated regarding when we will resume physical Dars. We are also exploring online options, so as to maintain the sunnah of keeping consistent with good deeds once we start them. So please tell everyone to join this Telegram channel for the latest updates.

As always, it is important we remain calm, patient and certain that all trials are from Allah SWT. This is a good time to reflect on the nature of human beings and how reliant we are on Allah’s aid and assistance.

Our Deen also encourages us to protect our health and wellbeing. We don’t need to re-iterate for you the importance of washing hands, hygiene and self isolation if unwell. It is advisable that those of us who are in regular contact with the elderly or anyone with a chronic medical condition be extra vigilant in this regard, as they are the worst affected by the coronavirus lest we pass it onto them.

We shall keep everyone updated inshaaAllah. Please keep us all in your dua, and do not forget those in our ummah who are going through much more difficult trials than us.
