My sweet friend was asked to be a part, and the grace of God in her life and the forgiveness she has extended in her own painful journey is so evident.

When you get tired of seeing the over-shares of Faith + Folly Podcast, please just know I hate it as much as you do… 😂

However, the thing with taking on a “passion project” like this - one existing solely by clicks and listens - is that to beat some stinky algorithm, I have to keep sharing with my people.

Megan Taunton is a wife, mother of 4, author, and podcast host who knows great loss.

Her daughter, Aiden, battled DIPG and left this temporary home for her eternal one at such a young age, but her precious life continues to tell of God’s goodness and grace through her family and Aiden’s Light.

Megan is going to share some of her journey with grief and loss - and how God still graciously guides her through it each day - on Faith and Folly soon.

You won’t want to miss hearing from this precious guest. ❤️

A little insight:

When thinking about the ends-and-outs of the podcast, I knew I wanted to leave listeners with a little message at the end that would serve as a blessing as well as a “see-you-next-time”.

People who have podcasts often have little taglines, but what would be Faith + Folly Podcast’s?
I didn’t want something cheesy, and I’d rather have nothing at all if what I did have didn’t actually MEAN something.

For 35 years, any time I left my grandmother she would stand on her porch, in her yard, or wherever her feet were planted during a goodbye and speak these words over us:

“May the Lord bless you and keep you all well and safe in Jesus name!” And often she would add, “may he send his angels charge to watch over and protect you.”

When she left this world and entered her long-awaited, highly anticipated eternity, the understanding that we’d never hear her speak these words over us again was beyond heartbreaking, so I have since adopted the blessing and now try to leave those I love with the prayer that God would bless them and keep them well and safe until we meet again.

To leave listeners with this blessing at the end of the podcast is more than just a tagline; it is a legacy.
A legacy of a life that is very much the reason I love Jesus today. She made Him “real” to me. I saw how accessible, kind, loving, and ever-present Jesus is because He always was to her.

My prayer is that this podcast will help do the same for you.

Christi is an encourager, storyteller, and teacher. God redeems her story daily as others are comforted, inspired, and warned by it.
