Sugar is not ok if you have diabetes....but what about Jaggery???
No, karela and jamun juice does not help to reverse diabetes or reduce your sugar levels.
It may only make you feel that you are doing something beneficial for your health.
Drop me a message if you need help with Reducing your blood sugar levels.
It's no secret actually, but have you been consciously doing these things to make sure your sugar levels stay in control.
1. Walk for 5-15 minutes after a meal, don't miss this if you have had foods that you know can increase your sugar levels eg. Desserts
2. Hydrate. Especially now as the temperature is rising. You can also have salted lemon juice, jal jeera water, mint leaves infused water, green tea, fruit tea (unsweetened), salted buttermilk, vegetable juices.
3. Reduce or eliminate rice and wheat from your meals. A lot of us don't feel satisfied if we don't have any grains in our meal, so have a small portion and always start the meal with salad and eat some protein like dal, pulses, eggs, or meat along with grains.
Stay healthy, stay happy.

I recall during college days, in the medicine OPD one day, we had a young man with diabetes come in for a consultation and here's what the consulting physician did.
Our teacher Dr Menon advised him and before he left the OPD, wrote a note that he handed over to him and asked him to laminate and always keep in this pocket. The note read "i am a diabetic and if found unconscious please give me sugar or glucose water to drink, immediately "
Low blood sugars can be dangerous. Do you have a plan in place for such situations? Do you carry a bottle of juice or glucose tablets with you?
How did you find out you have Diabetes or Prediabetes and What was your reaction?
I'm sure you know at least ONE person whom you can share this post with...please go ahead and do that 💓

Here's a list of veggies that are low GI and will not raise your blood sugar levels.
These are good to have if you have diabetes, prediabetes or even if you are trying to lose weight.
As a general rule, for diabetes, keep starchy vegetables to a minimum in order to avoid blood sugars from spiking
Chest Opening Pose
Because we all spend so much time on our phones and laptops.
Must do pose for anyone who spends too much time looking down.
Do it if you want to get rid of the hump at the base of your neck.
🧘♀️Sit in crossed legged postion. If you can't sit on floor, sit on bed or chair.
🧘♀️Place hands behind you. Squeeze the shoulder blades together.
🧘♀️Look up, stretching your neck and touch your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
🧘♀️Hold this pose for 5 breaths, while breathing normally. You have to hold the pose, not hold your breath.
🧘♀️Release and repeat.
Benefits of this pose
🌸Improves posture and stance, anti-dote to the "mobile phone posture"
🌸 Opens the chest and improves breathing
🌸Relieves neck stiffness
🌸Firms the neck muscles, helps to reduce the hump that forms at the base of your neck due to poor posture.
🌸Relieves shoulder stiffness and inturn reduces stress. When stressed, we tighten neck and shoulders.
Do this 2-3 times a day. You can even do it standing. Just interlock your fingers behind you and squeeze shoulder blades together, while looking upward.
