Hobbies are designed to give us something to do to keep us occupied and in some cases prevent some people from becoming couch potatoes. My hobby, creating baskets and decoratives from pine cones has been my "therapy" you may say, but none-the-less it relaxes me after a stressful week. Having several pine trees at my weekend house, I found myself picking them up, putting them in a big pile and thin
king about the cool things I could make with them. I started by creating a few baskets for my home, for friends and then I started painting pinecones and giving them to all my fellow co-workers during the holidays. After turning my garage in my Lake Placid, FL getaway house to my pine cone art studio of over 100 baskets, pine cones, paints and supplies my neighbors and friends convinced me to try and market them. The pine cones are hand picked, hand painted and put together with great care and thought. I hope you enjoy the photos and maybe you may even purchase one for that special place or person.
