Just hanging out at Apex PetSmart showing off their cute little selves hoping their humans will walk by and put in an adoption application to take them home. We’d love to see these siblings get adopted together but if you’re looking for just one, either would make a great addition to your home. Fig and Rowdy are approximately 4 months old.

Today is “National Black Cat Appreciation Day.” 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Celebrated on August 17 each year, this day was established by Wayne H. Morris in 2011 to honor his sister June and her black cat, Sinbad. Morris wanted to fight against prejudice and ignorance about black cats and to remind people of their value. The days goals include sharing the joys of living with black cats,dispelling myths, and helping black cats get adopted.
We sure do appreciate all of our mini panthers, and this kitten season we were blessed with many. We have adopted a few panthers in recent weeks, but have so many more in need of forever homes. We have panthers from 3 months to 3 years pictured here … all of them with unique purrsonalities.

**Adoption Update**
Our girl, Mariska, (now called Mamie) momma to six kittens, patiently waited 473 days (who’s counting?) for her family to find her. They tell us she is an “absolute sweetheart.”

A dear friend of mine always said that they stay as long as they were meant to stay and that shortly after they leave us they send us the next baby that needs help ♥️

Meet Itsy Bitsy!
This sweet little girl has been waiting a long time to be introduced to our Facebook family.
Itsy has had some health challenges as a very young kitten that required a lot of care; dietary changes and testing.
We are happy to report she now has a clean bill of health.
Itsy is a super sweet, adorable calico who loves to play and hang out with people! She is very friendly and sociable, and once you start petting her she will never stop purring. Itsy’s favorite toys are plastic springs and chasing wand toys. She loves playing chase with her foster friends (April the kitten. Because of Itsy’s health obstacles as a baby, she should stay on a special diet that will keep her happy and healthy. Itsy also gets along great with the small dog in her foster home.

Happy adoption day update!
Friends, we have sooooo many panthers in our adoption program this year. We need our black cat enthusiasts to adopt. Well, here is one fortunate panther finding his furever home. Bramble was adopted by Rachelle and will have a human sister , Taylor. Bramble will join new kitty friends Sushi and Wasabi.

Some helpful info if you find yourself with a found kitten(s).

We can only do so much. That’s why we need you!

If you find a kitten, start here!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This was posted on another page and may help those of you who find a kitten(s). 🐈‍⬛🐱Most shelters and rescues are full and get messages daily about kittens.

“Everyone is finding little kittens riddled with fleas. If kittens are under 2 pounds, we don’t do anything for fleas but a bath in Dawn. But please do so, especially if their gums are turning white. Otherwise, chemicals are too toxic for them if not at 2 lbs.

However if you find a kitten that is lethargic, please give it a tad of karo syrup immediately and then a few more times an hour to get its blood sugar back up and keep it on a heating source before you give it a bath. Because no matter how warm or lukewarm your water is that you are bathing it in, a bath will drop their body temperature just a tad and that might be all it takes to slip over the rainbow bridge.

Kittens with goopy eyes should be cleaned with warm water and given terramycin ointment in their eyes 3 times a day. You can find it at Tractor Supply.

We can all do our part to help. Because most likely when you find one it will take days to find someone to help you with it and what you do for it in those couple of days could mean life or death. And please DO NOT GIVE IT COWS MILK.

If it won't eat canned kitten food, you can give it chicken flavored baby food or kitten formula depending on age.

If you find a litter of kittens under 3-4 weeks of age, leave them alone! If they are quiet and healthy they have a mama. If they are sick and screaming, most likely they don’t. Know when to intervene and when not to.”

Our sweet kitten, Hugo, has been adopted and joins another previously adopted Paw Prints kitten, Sunflower, in his new home.
