Our Town – Viva 21/04/2024

This is a FANTASTIC play, and an iconic part of US culture, being performed in Soham's fabulous Viva Theatre. Jeremy is in it, in a small and key role as the town's alcoholic choirmaster. We saw it off Broadway in New York in 2010 and I am so excited to see it again. It's sold out on Friday and Saturday, but there are a few tickets for Thursday and plenty for Wednesday, when I'm going. I'm sitting in row AA - please do come and join me for a theatrical treat and a warm welcome from the amazing team there, downstairs, and in the bar...

Our Town – Viva 24th - 27th April 2024 Thornton Wilders Pulitzer Prize winning Our Town takes us to 1901 and the town of Grovers’s Corner’s, New Hampshire. Narrated by the Stage Manager, we follow the town residents and explore what it means to be alive. “Do any human beings ever realize life while they live ...

Here's the old Heron Pose photo from the end of the garden (not taken in February) - we were looking at Heron poses last week. One of the brilliant Sallys in the classes sent me this photo of a stork doing a Heron Pose from a Guardian post, and frankly, we look pretty identical, I was excited to see.

The Gingko tree in the garden of the Friends Meeting House in Hartington Grove Cambridge has always been a part of my yoga life. It's sheltered and delighted us every year since I started yoga with Sharon Honig in this room in 1984. The light of its yellow autumn leaves still on the tree 2 weeks ago was dazzling, and yesterday as I walked in the neighbourhood I found its leaves filling and glorifying paths all the way to the main road.

Once I've worked out how to do it, I thought I'd delete this page, and just be Sally Lander on facebook - I've never used this as a business thing. So if by chance you like this page but aren't friends on my normal account, do make friends now!

Gratitude practice on Zoom followed by breakfast in the sunshine - homemade bread with marmalade made by a friend, homemade kefir, then a tiny stroll to the river. There are deep waters and the path is uneven, but yes, absurdly much to be grateful for.

Pawanmktasana - move all the joints. Feet in the little river at the bottom of the garden. Bliss.
