Eureka Peet vom Fleischerheim (AKA Rika)
Rika was a red and black long-haired German Shepherd female.
Her dam was bred in Germany and then imported to the US.
I was driving to the airport to pick her up as a 3-month-old puppy who was flying in from the Fleisherheim kennel in TX, I drove past a street sign that said Eurika and instantly knew that was going to be her name because in the old days when miners struck gold, I heard they would shout Eurika!
She was my little gold strike.
As her crate came up the airport conveyer belt and popped through the door, I could see her in there. As I approached, she started excitedly jumping up and down inside the crate like a pogo stick.
When I opened the door, she bound out the doors to greet me as if I were her long-lost friend! I fell in love with her immediately, and from that time on, she has always been my favorite.
She knew what I wanted her to do before I knew what I wanted. It was as if she read my mind and just did it. Anything to make me happy.
She was courageous, extremely intelligent, extremely willing to please, a mind reader, and a happy girl who was always in a good mood. She trusted me to the max, and anything I wanted, she was willing to do. She loved car rides. training in class or at Tractor Supply. She was very loving, yet not velcro. She would watch me from a close distance yet not get in my way when I was working. She was a fantastic photo model, a very loving mom, and the best dog that I have ever had. There will never be another Eurika. She was amazingly special, and if I were ever tempted to clone a dog, it would be her.
I cannot imagine a better dog than Eureka. She was the whole package and a magnificent example of what a German Shepherd should be.

She was an amazing photoshoot model, and like her brother, she did not take a bad photo. She hammed it up for the camera. When she saw the camera, she knew we were going to have fun and that she would be the center of my attention.
She would throw herself into my leg and go belly up for a tummy rub without paying attention to the ground or objects she might land on...LOL. but this actually worried me at the time, depending on what she might land on!
She was a kind, playful dog who held her own with her much bigger brother. She was also a good guard dog for the farm.
Her pedigree was very impressive, and she had the same sire as Sniper. Her sire was VA2 (USA) Voltan vom Gletschertopf SCHH3, and she had 2 world champion grandparents: 2X VA1 Larus von Batu SCHH3 and VA1 Zamp vom Thermodos SCHH3.

One of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen or owned.
His main goal in life was to please me, and that is what his main drive was—to please me and be my best friend, companion, and protector. A kind word motivated him more than food or a ball, yet he did really like both of those too. He had a kind, loving heart.
He was a protector, friend, and just a very kind, sweet, big-hearted dog who would bend over backwards to please me.
He would do anything that I asked him to do and loved cuddling, being petted, and just being near me.

Zeva Rexan Painter (AKA Stormy)
Stormy was a beautiful, long-haired German Shepherd female.
She was such a sweetie. She never picked a fight, never growled at anything, was very gentle, peaceful, calm, and one of the best moms I ever had.
When she had her pups, she just calmly and lovingly took care of them. Her litters were always the most calm and peaceful.
Sometimes I would use her in photo shoots with pups from other litters because I knew she would not hurt them. She was always such a good, easy-going girl who did not complain about anything.
She was happiest when we took the pups out for family outing photo shoots. She and the pups would gently play while I usually lay on my stomach, taking photos. Often, the pups would come over and jump on my back or head, or come straight at the camera. They just wanted to say hello and get some love.
We had so much fun during those peaceful, beautiful photo shoots.
She was such a beautiful, good, sweet, and easy dog who contributed her good nature to the pups.

I usually paired her with a tougher, higher drive dog such as Bam Bam or Twister, and the results were outstanding. It seemed the pups got the best traits from both parents.

I loved her unusual coloring and thought she was gorgeous. She was a good mom and was good with people. Her pups were some of the wildest pups I had, and they were very animated.
One time I took the entire litter of (12 if I remember right) to dog training class and put them in a puppy pen outside where we were training.
The puppies were about 7 weeks old at that time, and they ganged up on one side of the round puppy pen to try and get next to all the dog training action, and the next thing I knew, they had tipped over the pen and pups were running everywhere!
It was an adventure capturing them and putting them back in the pen because they were fearless and wanted to be part of all the dog training action! LOL...what a moment that was!
