We would like to say THANK YOU to one of our past trap team members, Robert Mantel III. He recently donated $2000 to our trap team! With the money we are going to start saving up to purchase a new trap thrower which cost between $4500 and $5000. Our old thrower is around 14 years old and has helped many students over the years, but has seen better days from all of the birds that have went through it. Thank you again Robert for your donation and letting us know that the trap team made a difference in your high school career!

The Mountain View-Birch Tree FFA is excited to announce that we have received a year long Living to Serve Grant from the National FFA. With this grant we will be addressing hunger by raising a few pigs to provide fresh pork and fresh eggs from our animals that are located on our school farm. These food items will be given to our local students and community members who are in need throughout the school year.

On to the next FFA adventure of the week! The show kids/parents/FFA Advisors and their families have probably stayed more days in hotels, tents, or trailers traveling to the next fair this summer than they have been home. It has already been a busy summer and we have at least two more fairs to go. Maddie Smith will be competing at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield this Friday and Saturday with her sheep. GOOD LUCK MADDIE!
