Sunday Knitting. This color work yoke of this jumper seems to be taking longer than it should! It’s a beautiful pattern though, don’t you think?
The view from my desk this afternoon after carding up an 80/20 blend of Bond fleece with llama fiber. Destined to be part of a color work sock! That was a lot of cranking…4 times total! 😅
Spindle shot of my Peony spin. Blended from merino, tussah and various add ins.
A sock spinning experiment:
The fiber is a blend of Babydoll Southdown and alpaca. Swipe to see a picture of these cuties. These sheep are only 18 to 24 inches and have the cutest teddy bear faces.🥰
Second pic is from Old Walsh Farm. Heck the site out for some more cute sheep pics!
Fiber purchased from Fleeceful Farm on Etsy formerly Sauked in Farm.
The joy that is contained in the Noro colors! This is the Traveler Shawl being knit up in 2 shades of Noro Tsubame in shades no 8 and no 22.
And isn’t this stitch marker sweet from Susan ?

Hot Cocoa socks off the needles and onto my feet. This was such a fun pattern by Charlotte Stone. I learned so much and can’t wait to cast on a pair more appropriate for the coming spring!
Just another Saturday morning here. ☀️ Sporting a pair of handspun socks and planning another pair to join in for lovely Cary’s 3 rd annually sock spin along
Next pair will be wool, alpaca, and mohair.
Check out her latest video over on YouTube for more info!
Staying warm and toasty the frigid evening. Last rounds of ribbing on the 2nd sleeve of my handspun Felix cardi.
Singles yarn from an 85/15 blend of Coopworth cross and bamboo. I am looking forward to wearing my first hand knitted cardigan in handspun yarn!
Button bands and collar picked up on my
I’m leaving the sleeves for last ! Tagging (Cheryl) as she asked what we’re working on. Tell me what’s on your needles today and tag Cheryl too!
Happy Sunday 🤗
Blending board experiments this gray day here. Definitely variable in size but I can’t wait to see how they spin up!
Merino, tussah silk, Corriedale fleece, mohair locks and assorted sparkles!
A beautiful sample pack all spindle spun up. This is their Ethereal Blend Series.
The white is a superfine Romeldale wool. I’m thinking it’s would make a lovely scarf.
Peaches in her new sweater!
Colorwork completed on my first sock. First time managing 3 colors. Hopefully the second cuff will be easier. Lovely pattern, don’t you think?
Spontaneous cast on for a little wooly jumper for my canine companion. The black is softly spun Black Welsh Mountain and the colors are spindle spun scraps.
It’s all 1 by 1 rib so a labor of love. 💗
I’m knitting little stripes instead of the fade that is in the pattern.
Handspun singles look so dramatic and moody in this light. The original gray fleece is giving a very interesting tonal quality to the yarn. Off to find smaller needles for the bottom ribbing. It’s going fast. Funny, that, when you focus on just one project😛
Finished handspun sweater! The Arboreal by Jennifer Steingas. A true fleece to sweater spin. The wool is from an American breed CVM a colored variety of Romeldale. It was woolen spun in my Lendrum DT and weighs only 384 grams or 13.5 ounces. Pretty happy with the fit. The neckline is a bit too big but with a turtleneck and wooly scarf it’ll be perfect. 👍
My handspun is starting to take shape. What are you knitting in this weekend? I hope whatever you’re up to you’re safe and sound! 🥰
Handspun Felix Cardigan underway! Testing out some buttons. I think they look good 👍.
Details: Coopworth cross blended with bamboo spun into singles on my Majacraft Aura, which is brilliant for the job. Pattern is my Amy Christoffers. Knitting to gauge on a US 10, 6 mm. The green yarn is the provisional cast on which will reveal live stitches to knit the collar.
Three more hanks of Coopworth cross handspun singles ready for a bath. I’m hoping to cast on the this week as part of
I hope you are well wherever you are. 🤗
A languishing weaving project almost done. Just finish the hem stitching then off the loom!
Hopefully I’ll show a bit of my process in the next vlog over on YouTube.
Have a good safe weekend friends!
Taking a much needed break from MKAL knitting to prep and spin some of this gorgeous Corriedale purchased from
Look for a bit of my process in the next vlog which should be coming out soon!
This year’s Westknits MKAL had been so good for my creativity. The central square gives you a blank canvas to go in so many directions with color and texture. Thank you Stephen for stirring up our creativity! 🥰
My first attempt at apple cider 🍩 donuts. Look closely and you’ll see some have no holes 😆.
Well, they would not pass muster with Paul and Pru but they are going to be excellent with my afternoon cup of tea!
Well into Clue 2 of
Thinking of adding a real pop in the next stripe section!
More is more, right ?
