If you’ve sat in a chair I’m sure you’ve heard one of these terms… here’s what you need to know 👇🏼👇🏼

Root taps - a quick tap after a highlight service that will blend and soften highlight lines for a softer look

Root smudge - these drag down a little further and can help create some dimension at the root

Root melt - great for when you want a darker root blended into blonder ends

These are all done with the same product used for toner and will not cause any problems with lifting your hair in the future 🥰

I know some people get scared when the foils come out when they’re asking for a balayage but truthfully… you can achieve the same look with foil 🙈

Foiling your hair and doing a root smudge gets that same lived in blend that balayage gives

Some hair just requires the extra lift that foils give to avoid brass 😉
