Instantly their lives are changed forever. Careful supervision of diet, insulin injections and constant monitoring of glucose levels become a part of daily life. In 1996, Mark Jacob Parsons (Jake) was diagnosed with juvenile (type 1) diabetes at the age of three. Not only was his life changed, but the entire Parsons family became aware of the impact this condition can have on children around the world. We decided to do something about it.
