NO, This is NOT an Atomic Bomb expolsion, It's a pyrocumulus cloud of smoke and ash from the Park Fire whichas burned over 300,000 acres. I took this dramatic exposure from my front porch last night at 7:28. Shot with a 150mm lens at 1/100 sec .

This original gouache painting depicts Table Mountain in Northern California's Butte County. Encompassing about 5 square miles the mountain is known for it's prolific bloom of wildflowers in the spring season. Mature oaks and lava outcrops are part of the landscape. By early summer the wildflowers are all gone until the following spring.

A serene landscape depicts a small stream meandering through dark rocky terrain, leading to a grass-covered hill dotted with trees under a bright blue sky. Sunlight filters through the foliage, highlighting spots of yellow wildflowers amidst the green.

This oil painting portrays a serene landscape with a tranquil lake flanked by evergreen trees with a backdrop of majestic snow-capped mountains under a clear sky. The atmosphere evokes a sense of peace and the natural beauty of a wilderness area, early in the morning given the soft light. Inspired by my hikes in the Applachian Mountains.

Another painting in a series that I did where the canyon tapers out to rolling grasslands not just a few miles from my studio. A serene landscape presents a rolling hill dotted with trees under a partly cloudy sky. The lush greenery is highlighted by patches of red and yellow, giving a sense of the variety of foliage and possibly the change of seasons. Prints in many sizes and media are available! In this minimalistic still life, I have made an arrangement of antique vessels from my collection, featuring a wood-fired stoneware wine bottle from Amsterdam dated 1888 and a wheel-thrown stoneware pitcher with an old copper tea pot for balance in the foreground. This image would be striking in a kitchen, dining area, or in a restaurant!

Early Autumn In The Mountains by Frank Wilson 11/03/2024

https://frankwilsonartprints.com/featured/early-autumn-in-the-mountains-frank-wilson.html

Gentle hills roll under a warm, golden light as trees in varying shades of green and orange hint at a change in seasons. Majestic clouds dot the sky above this tranquil landscape bathed in a golden hue that gives a sense of calm and beauty. This image started out as an oil painting, very rough with bold brushstrokes and little detail. It was photographed and digitized on my computer where I made adjustments to the size, color tone, and details.

I wanted to create a piece llike the The Hudson River School painters. The Hudson River School was a mid-19th-century American art movement embodied by a group of landscape painters whose aesthetic vision was influenced by Romanticism. Early on, the paintings typically depicted the Hudson River Valley and the surrounding area, including the Catskill, Adirondack, and White Mountains.
