Last week, my husband and I lost a very good friend. As a result, I have been attempting to work out my feelings of grief through artistic expression. This picture is a result of that. It's like falling out of the things that make you happy and sinking into the dark feelings of grief but you know you will ultimately be okay because your heart protects you.

It's really helped me process everything. I have purchased a new iPad to use as a drawing tablet, and this is my first full finished piece using the tablet and Procreate. 67 hours of work. I miss you, Bill, and all of the friends I've lost over the years. I will always remember ever single one of you and the good times we had.
