We thought we had lost Matilda but our wonderful guests found her nesting on 10 eggs.

Inkberrow and The Old Bull were on The One show tonight. The Archers welcomed Rylan Clark to Ambridge for Eurovision special. Rylan stopped by Ambridge to judge the village's Eurovision Variety Show. Great to see our lovely village on the Television.

Donald a new Indian Runner duck has arrived at The Lodge, he loves the pond!

What wonderful guests this is the review they left, I'm so please they enjoyed The Lodge.

The Lodge at The Old Windmill is our place.
You know, that place. It's where your mind goes when you need an escape from a world that's moving too fast. You close your eyes and imagine idyllic surroundings, streams of gentle sunlight washing over you. Your breathing slows, and you begin to feel brand new.

That's the feeling we got when we first stepped into The Lodge for a stay of 14 weeks with our cockapoo, Pepper, whilst we prepared to move abroad.

The photographs don't lie. It's a beautiful place. But to really get a sense of what makes this stone house so special, you really have to be there. The lodge itself is excellent, superbly equipped, spotless, spacious yet cosy and very, very inviting. It became our haven, it’s so tranquil and peaceful. Lisa and Nick were the best hosts you could hope for, very welcoming, there when you needed them and almost invisible the rest of the time. They bent over backwards to make our stay perfect and succeeded in every way.

The gardens are stunning and restful and you just can’t help but feel contented and happy both inside and outside the lodge. We had the good fortune to watch the beautiful garden blossom through Spring into Summer and the delight to see two broods of Moorhens introduced into the world and the wonderful daily antics of the two Indian Runner Ducks who have incredibly funny personalities. Every time we returned from excursions into the picturesque Cotswolds we felt we were truly blessed.

So excited, new guests arriving on Monday 12th April.
Just preparing the Lodge, I have changed the lounge area and added a desk/ dressing table in the second bedroom.
