Kūpeʻe Hoaka💫
Each Shell has its own unique shades and patterns. Theyʻre all intuitively hand picked and matched to turn into an adornment.
Kū i ka pō, peʻe i ka lā
Comes out at night, hides in the light
In Hula, we ʻako (gather) at a specific mahina (moon). Then each kūpeʻe is gathered and prepared for ceremony, presentation or a journey.
Why do I use Kūpeʻe?
Although, these arenʻt make into traditional pieces, I love to make modern Hawaiʻi pieces with traditional meaning.
Each design were planned and made to bring grounding, strength and confidance without judgement. I hope that they bring everyone aloha and light✨
