We all have intuition! It’s not silly, it’s not woo woo. Do you recall a time when you planned to go somewhere, or meet someone and just before going something told you this isn’t a good idea. It’s those little inklings within that guide us in a different direction . It’s the times you thought of someone and moments or hours later they called you. It’s the times you took a different route only to meet someone who would become your greatest teacher or a new best friend.
Those times are not accidents . Pay attention, synchronicities are happening all around you.

There is so much to learn about neurotransmitters and how one affects the whole.
Another great reminder that one is not separate from another and the entire mind body functions as a whole. And if one affects the other it is vitally important to treat conditions by looking at the bigger picture, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually .

The limbic system is a very complex system with several important structures within it.
So many things affect the functioning of the limbic system, like early childhood trauma, stress, our diet, and exercise to name just afew.
There are so many modality’s that can support us towards healing and Bodytalk is one of many.
While I see my Bodytalk practitioner regularly, I also receive benefits from acupuncture, massage therapy as well as intuitive counseling.
What are your go to modalities for continued health and healing?

Gratitude opens up the door for receivership.
Studies have shown that when we focus on that which we are grateful for it calms the nervous system, and helps to regulate the entire Mindbody.
And if you want to add an ultra boost try walking in nature while drawing on the elevated emotion of gratitude.
What are you grateful for?

The endocrine system plays a vital role in the whole mind-body.
Endocrines are responsible for producing hormones that affect either very specific target tissues for specific purposes or they can be very general in nature and affect every single cell in the body. The endocrine system functions to help with the maintenance of homeostasis, help the body to adapt to stress, help regulate growth, reproduction, utilization of nutrients by cells, maintain salt and fluid balance and regulate the metabolic rate.
Your endocrine system matters!
Bodytalk can help to create balance in the body-mind by working with the endocrine system.

Why do we feel the way we feel? How do our thoughts and emotions affect our health?

Candace Pert, an extraordinary neuroscientist played a pivotal role in the discovery of the op**te receptors.
Her pioneering research on how the chemicals inside our bodies form a dynamic information network, linking mind and body is revolutionary.

The mind is not separate from the body. When we can better understand the connection between our minds and our bodies— we’re able to see the impact our emotional well being has on the whole Mindbody and how that may show up for us in multiple ways.
Bodytalk addresses the mind and body recognizing the two are not separate.
I invite you to be curious about that .

What does a typical BodyTalk session look like?
Upon completion of a wellness inventory, clients lay on the treatment bed, while the Practitioner facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular biofeedback. After asking innate a series of yes or no questions, the clients own wisdom leads the practitioner to locate the imbalances within the body that are a priority or are out of balance with the rest of the body.
Next, the practitioner holds the areas highlighted by the testing procedure and taps gently on the head, sternum and navel. By tapping on the head the brain becomes aware of and repairs the communication link. Tapping on the sternum, or heart ensures the new information is stored throughout the whole body, and tapping on the navel stimulates the digesting and assimilating function of the gut brain.
This entire process guarantees the mechanisms of the body can function and operate at optimal levels which in turn accelerates the healing process.

Let's look at what BodyTalk Practitioners will not do...and what they can do

One specific BodyTalk technique is Cortices.
The underlying theory behind Cortices technique is that all symptoms, conditions and diseases are reflected in the brain at some level. Cortices addresses the entire bodymind complex by focusing on balancing the brain, regardless of what physical or emotional imbalances are present.
