The orginal building was purchased by Brookville and served as a Public School from 1873 till 1912. The original building was razed and the current structure was built in 1912. The Brookville High School was used from 1957 till 1989. A new High School was built and the name was changed to Franklin County High School. The building has been converted into the County Courthouse
