I love changing the conversation around card reading. What if you approached cards as a personal development tool instead of as something you give your power away to so that you can predict the future? 🤔✨ You could make more informed and aligned decisions, reduce analysis paralysis, and deepen your understanding of yourself. 💆🏽♀️ Ready to try it?? 🤷🏼♀️ STEP 1: Ask a question. I asked, "What do we need to know today so that we can support ourselves this week?" 🤔 STEP 2: Observe the art. What part of the card do you notice first? 🎴 STEP 3: Interpret what you see. If you were to take what you see as a symbol of what you need to know today to feel in alignment this week, what would it mean? E.g. if you see the owls first, it could mean, you need more knowledge of what alignment means for you to craft a clear vision. Or if you saw the hands, maybe you need more support from loved ones to bring your vision to fruition. 💫 STEP 4: Take action. Now that you've interpreted the card, what's your CTA (call-to-adventure)? What bite-sized action step will you take, using this information, to bring yourself into more alignment this week? In case you don't know, I'm obsessed with Agents of Shield. 🦸 And last week, the beloved character "Yo-Yo" became more than a fictional inhuman (superhero) agent. She became a lost cat. 🐈 We didn't know it at the time, but we gave this sweet cat more than a name. We gave her a promise. After a week of searching, we did find and return her to her home. 🏠 But a few days later, she came back. 😅 In sharing this story with a friend, she mentioned that cats choose their people. And it got me thinking... 🤔 Despite living in a world where humans create the rules––like how pet ownership works––cats still manage to choose their people. 😺 I believe this miraculous tenacity comes from the same principle we can lean on to find more personal freedom, too: our beliefs create our reality. Cats don't know or care about our human rules. All they care about is getting food, shelter, and especially in Yo-Yo's case, their bellies rubbed. It's not about who calls them their pet. 🤷🏽♀️ So what can we take away from Yo-Yo's story? ✨ When you know what you want and you believe you can make it happen, don't let the old "rules" or SHOULDs hold you back. 🙅🏼♀️ While we're not about to adopt this cat, she chose us. She can come back and visit as often as she likes, and we'll love her every time she does (and contact her original owners like responsible "rule-abiding" humans). But, I'm inspired by her. 🤩 We encounter so many obstacles on our path toward alignment in this life.
