GSPN Madden 23 User Spotlight
GT: Homeboy Cookin
Madden 23 record: 42-21 in the regular season, 1-1 in the playoffs

This user spotlight is going to focus on Roger who is currently our Vikings user. Roger is a long time GFL member with very up and down Madden cycles. This Madden has definitely been his best and most consistent showing.

Pros: Roger has developed a really powerful offense. His offensive scheme consists of towering WRs on the outside capable of winning jump balls regularly while beating most CBs with their route running. Reads the seams really well making zone coverage really tough to utilize against him.

Cons: Almost no attention has been paid to his defensive personnel or scheme. Makes little to no adjustments on his defense from play to play so usually what you see pre-snap is what you get. Would like to see more out of his short passing game as well, relies a bit too much on chunk plays.

Conclusion: Roger is a top user this Madden, there's no debating that. A Superbowl is not out if reach for him. His only real obstacle is a really deep NFC user base but he has a really good handle on his division. I expect a Superbowl berth at the very least.

GT: Craig 0 Craig
Madden 23 record: 26 - 37 with no playoff appearances.

This user spotlight is going to focus on Craig who is currently our Colts user. Craig is also a tenured GFL member with a lot of Madden time logged. This is a user that plays every game with some good runs in previous Maddens.

Pros: Craig has probably the best RB in Madden in JT and he's not afraid to let him touch the ball every play if that's what will get him the win. He has a good mix of run plays and reads the holes really well. Has built himself a really solid offensive core and can lean on his WR group in a shootout if necessary. His strength in the passing game is inside the numbers and intermediate throws.

Cons: If Craig is playing a user that takes away the inside and underneath routes his passing game suffers. Will be too stubborn at times to abandon the run when it isn't effective. Needs to open up the playbook to include passing concepts that will get his elite WRs outside of the numbers.

Conclusion: While Craig is having his best season yet there is no consistency or reason to believe this isn't a flash. While the AFC isn't as deep and he could make his way to the playoffs he will struggle to beat the top 4/5 users there. I would like to see Craig open up his playbook and develop a short and deep passing game to really free up JT to be that guy in the playoffs.

GT: St Nicktendo
Madden 23 record: 41-22 in the regular season, 3-3 in the post season.

The first user spotlight is going to focus on our resident podcast host and Seahawk user, St Nicktendo. St Nicktendo is a tenured member of GFL with a history of mostly winning seasons. Often underrated by the members of GFL St Nicktendo shows the ability to beat every user in the league.

Pros: He has the ability to develop one of the best teams in the league every Madden cycle. Say what you want but team development is a huge part of CFM. Nick excels at a meticulous short passing utilizing his RB and slot WRs to drive down the field. Often forces his opponents to put extra help and focus into the flats to get DK open for a few shots a game. Usually makes really quick reads nullifying the elite pass rushers.

Cons: Outside of deep passing plays on what is usually a streak, Nick doesn't create a lot of chunk plays. Even after developing great RBs EVERY Madden, he won't run the ball consistently in the playoffs, at all. Doesn't attack inside the numbers enough while passing, which is the opposite of most Madden players.

Conclusion: St Nicktendo has shown with his record he's good enough to win a Superbowl. With at least 2 more opportunities this cycle he'll have a chance to make it happen. If Nick adds a Superbowl win it won't be a surprise to anybody. His only issue to overcome will be executing in the playoffs.

What's going on with Chicago? My cuzo from my baby mama's third cousin's aunt's sister's, nephew, Justin Fields, proved he was a superstar recently. Chicago just moved on up to the Eastside, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. They flying higher than Rodger after work on a Friday.(This info is alleged as I ain't no snitch) They playing like last year's buc nasty, with their play being stronger and disgusting like the Black Velvet in Coach Vincent's desk. Chicago has a long way to to catch the Vikings for the division, they may just play themselves into the playoffs as a wildcard. I got $150 cash at the MGM in Vegas that they will make the playoffs. I like my odds.

Last but not least,

In my opinion, this is the most interesting division for this upcoming M23 season for GFL. The NFC South

NFC North looking to be one of the more competitive divisions in GFL for M23 👀
