Music with Miss Tabby
I am a licensed Musikgarten teacher, certified to teach family music for babies and toddlers.
I offer weekly "mommy and me" style classes, designed to encourage a love and understanding for music, in a fun and engaging environment.
Friday mornings are for music making! πΆπΊπ₯
See you tomorrow!
Join the fun this Friday at the Otto Community Building! ππ₯π΅
Let me tell you about my setup.
First of all, instruments. In class we use age appropriate instruments, preferably made with natural materials.
We use rhythm sticks to learn about a steady beat, the heartbeat of all music. We explore the different ways to play them and all of the different sounds they can make.
Jingles we use for a steady beat, rhythm patterns, and adding a bit of pizazz to our recorded tracks.
The scarves are arguably everyone's favorite. We can make them blow in the wind, pretend they are sails carrying our ship, or hide behind them while playing Peek-a-boo.
And lastly, Pooh. I loved Winnie the Pooh as a child so naturally I chose him for my "assistant" for bouncing and rocking songs.
Each week we explore these instruments and all of the sounds they make, while incorporating walking and body movement activities.
