There is nothing to 'do' when we abide in the Dhamma. Together through mediation, reflection and contemplative dialogue we explore these divine abodes in our everyday lives.

Please take a moment while this is freely offered to watch. It is so important that we understand the what, how and why of meditation both scientifically and experientially. It is not a panacea and yet offers freedom from suffering beyond most modern options. Most importantly meditation that leads to freedom is not simply relaxation, simply about feeling good. It is sometimes hard and sometimes offers profound peace. Both are exactly what they are and that is the practice. If it seems to easy it just might be. Don't go for easy go for real.

A poem fro wise action:
Wise action . . . We stay.
For those of us that are doers we need to move, help, be seen and get things done and yet we pause and stay.
For those of us who are huggers we want to embrace, hug, comfort and love by touch and yet we pause and stay.
For those of us who choose alone, we yearn now to belong and be with and yet we pause and stay.
For those of us who are parents, we feel our flesh ache for our babes and grand babes and yet we pause and stay.
For those of us who are young, we must be free to experience life and breath and yet we pause and stay.
For those of us who are mature we are fearful and scared yearning for comfort and yet we pause and stay.
We pause and stay, we sit, we weep, we meditate, we pray, we sing and we wait for word.
We pause and stay home wishing for gladness and safety and that all beings are at ease.
We pause and stay for the welfare of all, weak and strong, those living near and far away.
We pause and stay home, wishing no harm upon another, radiating compassion.
This is what is to be done by one who is skilled in goodness, who knows the path of peace.
We pause and stay.

I don’t know about you, but I find it the hardest to pause when I am at my computer. The tide of tasks seems to keep rising, and the current pulling me along seems to only grow stronger. We seldom take the time to really gauge our hunger, focus on our food or even truly savour a few bites leading to eating when we’re not hungry, too fast, and choosing inappropriate foods. So excited to be moving into the Relational Mind Centre, 21 McKeough Ave., Chatham. As the building will undergo some renovations in the near future, all classes offered by Pause are on hold for a short time. Once the plan for renovations is decided a new schedule will be posted.
