Just earned another great review - this one from Vincent Abbate in Blues Music Magazine.
"...firing on all cylinders...punchy soul-infused electric blues with a Memphis slant...[the band] is truly in lock step from the get-go, truly tighter than tight...[Keller] recalls Tommy Castro or Van Morrison...with intelligent phrasing that leaves you hanging on his every word. You care about what he has to say.
It's Time To Shine is full of life and truth. It's the joyous sound of talented musicians breathing as one, further establishing Keller as a contemporary artist to be reckoned with."
Feels good to know that the album is out there, being heard, enjoyed, and I hope, helping anyone who needs it.
Thanks for checking it out at www.davekeller.bandcamp.com or on your favorite streaming service. (Please follow me there too - it helps.)
Free show this Saturday in Cabot, VT, at Willey Hall, 6:30 pm, as part of Cabot Arts' Twelth Night Celebration.

Digging this 5-star review from Britain's Music Republic Magazine!
"...a force to be reckoned with...incendiary and measured guitar skills. He doesn't overplay or shred...he serves the songs always...no fillers, all killers...You could say Killer Keller is an apt nickname."
Hope you can catch one of these upcoming shows.

Although I much prefer listening to music on CDs or vinyl, I spent some time poking around on Spotify this past year. I'll admit that it is helpful for finding new music.
Now though, the algorithm suggests only Soul music, since that's mostly what I've listened to. So perhaps you, my friends, could help me break out of this algorithmic box. Suggestions for artists/songs/albums appreciated. Thanks!
Bonus points if you can explain what "puredee" is ๐ง

Happy 12-1-23! Today is also Bandcamp Friday. This means if you order any of my merch today, Bandcamp (my digital storefront platform) won't take a percentage.
So if you're thinking about holiday gifts, it's the perfect day to order CDs, T-shirts, hats, or digital downloads. I'm glad to autograph items too.
Note that t-shirts and hats are limited edition. Once they're gone, they're gone. And there aren't very many left.
The shirts are really soft and comfy. Unisex or women's cut. Am starting to run out of some sizes, so check them out now.
And the hats are nice and bright and have cool leather patches on the front. Am down to the last ten.

IT'S TIME TO SHINE Tour was a blast and a half!! 15 shows in 19 days! PA, OH, DC, MD, VA, NC, and a whole lot of FL!
We made it back home to VT last night, and were greeted with a snow squall (of course). We toasted our success, and our craziness as well. ๏ฟผ
I say, with only a slight pat on our collective backs, that the band and I crushed it. A violent metaphor, admittedly, for what was a tour based in love. But I just gotta shout out to Alexander Budney, Jay Gleason, and Ira Friedman - great humans, monster musicians. Love them โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
If you haven't seen the band in a while - or ever - you are missing out on some serious and funky aural pleasure. This tour took it all to an even higher, tighter, more soulful and more fun level. So proud of this band! Agents, festivals, promoters - we're coming for ya!
Grateful to all the fine and loving folks who showed up for us. To everyone who came to our shows, who welcomed us to their communities, who hosted us at their venues and homes, we offer thanks. To all the folks working hard in hotels and gas stations, in restaurants and bars, and all other manner of roadside stops, we offer thanks. To strangers who struck up conversations with us. To dancers and drinkers. To ho***rs and hollerers. To smilers and and quiet ones. We love y'all. You made this adventure a sweet one. THANK YOU ๐๐๐๐๐๐
Unusual and (I hope) artistic photos coming tomorrow. And my first-ever HOLIDAY SALE! T-shirts, hats, and....hold your horses...CDs! ๐๐๐งข๐ฟ. Only available from yours truly.
Love and Gratitude,
Dave โค๏ธ๐
P.S. Special thanks to friends for helping us get a foot in the door at venues: Johnny Rawls, Jp Soars, Bill Pollak, Carly Harvey, Chad Hollister, Lightnin Wells, Michael Cloeren, Anita Marie, Rob Lettieri, Phil Simon, and Alyona Aleksandra Ushe
I've been a Living Blues subscriber since I was 20 years old. I am always excited to receive a good review anywhere. But a review in Living Blues is always a little extra exciting. And this one is a doozy!

This Sunday! Playing with our dear friend, the amazing Carly Harvey!
Hitting the road this Wednesday ๐๐ฅ
So excited for our longest tour yet! The band has been absolutely killing it lately, so come to a show in your area, and bring a friend or two. Will have plenty of new tour swag ๐๐๐งข๐ฟ๐ Canโt wait to see yโall out there ๐๐
* Please make sure to get your tickets in advance, through venue websites.
** Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, our 11.02 show at the Lizzie Rose has been cancelled. Sorry NJ friends ๐ข
Thanks for sharing ๐โค๏ธ
Two weeks from today, the band and I will be hitting the road to promote our new album, Itโs Time To Shine.
16 gigs in 19 days. The four of us crammed in my Honda CR-V, pulling Wally, our 5x8 trailer.
No-tell motels. Cheese puffs and gas station pizza. Many, many hours of road time. Sounds romantic, yes?
Over the past bunch of years, Iโve been working towards the day when I could tour like this. And itโs finally happening. Who knows what adventures await us? Yes, Iโm frickin excited.
I booked 95% of the gigs without an agent.
I have a killer band of great humans.
We have a fantastic new album out that has been earning rave reviews.
And we have so many amazing fans who have been patiently waiting for us to come to their towns.
Soโฆ.we are coming! Please help us make this our most successful tour yet. Spread the word to your friends. Come to a show. Bring a friend. Or a few.
See you out there sooooonnnnnโฆ.
Love and gratitude,
Dave

Honored to be performing at the 4th Annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Rocks! Stowe, VT (Mayo Fields), this Saturday Oct 7. My band will be playing at 3:00 pm. Then weโll be backing up Blues Hall of Famer Joe Louis Walker. Plenty of other soulful and wonderful artists and musicians earlier in the day. Chief Donald Stevens (Abenaki) will be there to officiate.
If youโve ever said to yourself, โIโd like to do something more to celebrate and recognize the Indigenous people and culture here in VTโ, this is a really wonderful way to join in.
