35th New Year Road Race Tournament Implementation Guidelines

1. Sponsored by Okinawa Prefecture Cycling Federation (OCF)

2. Sponsored by Kitanakagusuku Village Kitanakagusuku Board of Education Okinawa Prefecture (planned)

3. Date and time: Sunday, January 28, 2024 (Reiwa 6)
Reception 7:00 a.m. - Specify reception time for each category (see separate item 13)
    Opening Ceremony  7:40am
Competition start 8:00am

*Recruitment will be discontinued as soon as each race reaches its capacity.
*The four races (4) to (7) will be reorganized depending on the number of applications and changes will be made such as starting at the same time.

7. Eligibility for participation: Healthy men and women applicable to each race.
*Minors require parental consent
*Participants under junior high school age must be accompanied by a guardian, and high school students must be accompanied by a supervisor.

8. Competition rules: Compliant with the latest Japan Cycling Federation competition rules and special competition rules

9. Award
Certificates will be awarded to 1st to 3rd place athletes in each race.
[Bonus] 1st to 3rd place runners in the champion race will be exempted from the participation fee for the champion division of the next race (road race only) hosted by OCF (each person will be responsible for applying for the next race) (If you do not apply for the next tournament, the benefits will be forfeited.)

10. Notes
(1) In the event of an accident, we will not compensate you for anything other than the insurance coverage (death: 1,260,000 yen, hospitalization: 3,000 yen/day, outpatient visit: 2,000 yen/day).

(2) In addition to first aid, participants are responsible for their own expenses.
(3) Refunds cannot be made after the participation fee has been received under any circumstances other than changes in circumstances due to the "new coronavirus infection"
(4) For high school students, please apply using only the name of the high school to which you belong.
(5) Those who are late for the reception time will not be able to participate.
(6) Please wear a helmet approved by the Japan Cycling Federation.
A helmet check will be conducted at reception.
(7) Please participate with a safe and well-maintained bicycle.
(8) Please use a bicycle with pedals and a chain.
(9) The use of aero handles such as bullhorn bars, DH bars, end bars, etc. is prohibited.
(10) Participants must wear clothing appropriate for cycling.
(11) Arm covers and leg covers may be used as long as they do not alter the shape of the body. Compression types are prohibited.
(12) On-board cameras are prohibited unless approved by the chief judge and deputy chief judge before starting the race. Cameras must only be mounted securely on the bicycle body. Mounting on the body or helmet is prohibited. If the Federation requests the submission of video data after the tournament, please comply. The Federation will not be responsible if a dispute develops due to the release of video data.
(13) In the event of equipment trouble during the competition, equipment failure due to falls, etc., equipment replacement will only be allowed in front of the competition headquarters.
(14) There will be no instructions to dismount (cut your foot) if you are late in the lap or have a time difference with the leader. However, we will instruct you to disembark in the event of a vehicle fall, equipment trouble, excessive deceleration due to fatigue, violation of the law, etc. The competition ends when the first athlete crosses the finish line on the final lap and all athletes running at that time cross the finish line.
(15) The road race venue course cannot be used for practice other than on the day of the race.
(16) Never cross the course during the competition except at designated areas.
(17) Do not damage or destroy any facilities, plants, etc. at the rented tournament venue.
(18) Please take all trash home with you and try to beautify the venue facilities, including using the restrooms.
(19) Please return the timing chip and bib to the reception desk immediately after the race. If you forget to return it or lose it, you will be charged 11,000 yen.
If the adhesive tape marks or bond marks on the back of the bib have not been removed, a re-creation fee of 1,000 yen will be charged when returning the bib.
(20) The only parking lot for this tournament is the “Nakagusuku Park Parking Lot” (gates open at 6:00 a.m.)
Please do not park in the "Nakagusuku Castle Ruins" parking lot, which is located across the road from the main gate of the venue (Futenma Driving School). Please follow the instructions of the staff
(21) The course may be changed for safety reasons. Parts that pose safety issues may be changed even during the competition.
(22) Please follow the convocation announcements for each sport and cooperate with tournament management to avoid delays.
(23) Please cooperate and be careful when practicing to avoid accidents.
(24) Throwing away bottles, food waste, etc. during the competition is prohibited.
Athletes who violate the rules will be disqualified.
(25) About personal information
The organizer recognizes the importance of personal information, complies with laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information, and handles personal information. In addition to using participants' personal information and portraits, we will use them in broadcasts, information media (video distribution, SNS, etc.), websites, photos, printed materials, etc. related to the tournament for the purpose of providing services to participants and improving tournament operations. There are cases.
(26) Other matters will be determined by the executive committee chairperson.
