A fantastic evening of tastings. The one that caught me by surprise and won my heart was the Invergordon 33 aged in Sherry casks. grain but I tasted bacon and butter, wax in the mouth. The Campbletown blend was next - phenomenal! Smoke, then sweet and soft. The Agricole … wow. Feels like white dog, raw and green, as if I’m licking grass. Barn. Last but not least is CARONI- every time I tasted it so far it was different. This was dried fruits but sans sugar… Phenomenal!

🥃🧡 The Arran Distillery, located on the Isle of Arran, is known for producing unpeated, high-quality single malt Scotch whisky. Established in 1995, it has gained a reputation for its dedication to craftsmanship and natural ingredients, resulting in whiskies that are both complex and approachable. we learned about the Loch na Davie lake and the eagles 🦅 protecting the island they are a part of the bottle design.

We tasted:
Arran Barrel Reserve
Fresh citrus, green apples. 🍏 Light and vibrant with notes of lemon zest, 🍋 honey, 🍯 and malt.

Arran 10-Year-Old**
apples and pears, with hints of vanilla and caramel. Rich and sweet, thanks to the extra sherry finish.

Arran Amarone Cask Finish
Top favorite!!! Rich red berries, dark chocolate, and a hint of spice. Full-bodied.

Arran Sauternes Cask Finish
Divine!! Honeyed apricots, vanilla, and floral notes. Sweet and luscious, with flavors of peaches, apricots, and a hint of toasted almonds. The Sauternes cask adds a lovely sweetness and complexity.

Arran Sherry Cask The Bodega
Rich and complex, with notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon.
Full-bodied

Lagg Distillery, also on the Isle of Arran, is the younger Peaty sister to Arran. Established in 2019, focuses on crafting bold, smoky whiskies that offer a distinct contrast to the unpeated expressions from the original Arran Distillery. ☯️!

Lagg Distillery, also on the Isle of Arran, is dedicated to producing heavily peated single malts. Lagg Kilmory
Gentle Smoky ! Bold and peaty, with flavors of smoked bacon, black pepper!

‏Enjoying a relaxing Friday evening with a bottle of 1792 Bottled in Bond bourbon. At 50% ABV, this gem is the perfect companion for Shabbat dinner. The nose offers a delightful bouquet of honey, setting the stage for a palate that dances between spicy and sweet, with a kick that lingers just right. Paired with the freshly baked challah, it’s a match made in heaven. Here’s to good company and great whiskey! Shabbat Shalom! 🥃✨

Reflecting on a visit to .distilling two years ago fills me with a sense of nostalgia and inspiration. Nestled in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley, Coppersea is a sanctuary of tradition and craftsmanship.

Wandering through their historic grounds, I was struck by the timeless beauty of copper stills and the intoxicating aroma of aging barrels. It was a day that deepened my love for the art of whiskey-making and reminded me of the passion that fuels Redhead Whiskey.

Here’s to the memories that shape our journey and the rich experiences that lie ahead. Cheers to the spirit of whiskey! 🥃

As I reflect on these past two years with Redhead Whiskey, I’m filled with gratitude and wonder. What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving community of whiskey enthusiasts in Bergen County, Hoboken, and NYC.

This journey has been as rewarding as it has been challenging. Every tasting, every new connection, and every shared story has enriched my life beyond measure. The late nights, the meticulous crafting, and the endless learning have all been worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has joined me on this journey, for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. Here’s to the next chapter of Redhead Whiskey, to more shared moments, and to the rich experiences that bring us all together. 🥃

I always had a sweet tooth. And was a wine drinker way before I fell for whiskey. Today was a long day. I traveled with my daughter 2 hours+ for a volleyball tournament. She is just recovering from severe cold, me halfway through it. She was determined to go and I was 100% behind that. She rocked the net and Jed her team, I was so proud. I had to go back home and leave her there with her dad so I can take care of those who stayed at home. So sweet comfort it is. Pinot noir aged in bendy barrels, double the sweet. ‘s rich rich wine, stay close to me…. Sometime you just need that. Tomorrow 5am I’ll be back on my way to see her, half the energy, an annoying cold with me, but so proud of her.

Prohibition tours are back!

Thursdays and Saturdays, in Hebrew and English on the Lower East Side

Two hours of diving into the Roaring 20's to understand the moves that led to the fact that it was constitutionally forbidden to produce and sell alcohol for 14 years (drinking is allowed by the way 😉 and we'll talk about why) and the role of New York in the organic resistance to the move. The tour is *not* an alcohol tour but includes unique tastings in three mythological places in the city 🍸

In the pics: tours of the past as well as an illustration of an ad which gives a hint as to ways that allowed people to drink alcohol, then you can see an illustration of Marie 'Texas' Guinan, one of the legendary hostesses at the original Speakeasy from the 1920s that we will visit 💃 The speakeasies played a key role in the opposition to the legislation because that's where people would gather to drink alcohol secretly 🤫 and hence the name - Speak easy because you have to whisper so that the police 👮 won't catch you...

I invite you and the parents and guests who will come this summer to join me.

Israel Remembrance Day is harder this year than any other year before. The pain is unbearable. The slaughter of over 1200 innocent Israeli civilians, majority of them peaceful supporters that were trying ti remedy Gaza, will not be forgotten. That’s not freedom fighting that’s inhuman behavior. I salute those who have and are protecting Israel 🇮🇱 with a blend of all Israeli distilleries. Made by . Am Israel Chai 🥃🕯️🇮🇱 we will prevail
