We all have a story. There is power in our stories when we speak them.

I haven’t recorded a podcast in months but I’ll always have a passion for hearing and sharing peoples stories. I believe stories have the power to heal and transform the narrative or what we think to be true. This remarkable, well done documentary feature Will Ferrell and his long time friend Harper Steele does just that. I can’t recommend this Netflix documentary enough to put on your weekend viewing list.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude from the past week I spent immersed in the most beautiful land connecting with Mother Earth with the most incredible revolutionary women writers. What started as a week filled with imposter syndrome and doubts ended as a week of community, encouragement, and inspiration.

Shooting stars, solar eclipses and wild horses were all part of the magic of our off the grid week taking place the land of the Pericu people in Baja Mexico. Together we imagined more and better and what writing and publishing could look like outside the confines of a white patriarchal world. Thank you Angela Yarber of and Dr. Kate for following your inner guide and soul’s purpose of creating this magical space of becoming.

If you have a book on your heart and story to write I encourage you to do it. I went into this week thinking “I am not a writer” and now I believe I am. ❤️ So much gratitude for for believing in me and singing me on to publish my first book, Liberating Eve, that will be released into the world next year . 🎉🎉🎉

PS the best part about having a podcast is getting to meet your guests in real life and becoming friends . If you missed my interview with Dr. Angela Yarber go check out episode 119. I know you will love her and her book “Queering the American Dream” as much as I do. 💗

Wrapping up women’s HerStory month with just a glimpse of the many things created by women. From beer to bras to humans and so much more!

In honor of Mother Earth and the Spring Equinox today, I could not be more thrilled to share this conversation with you I had with Liz Childs Kelly from . Liz is an author, creator and researcher who has dedicated her life’s work to walking the path of the Sacred Feminine . Liz is also a woman who has done her work in this arena, tirelessly acknowledging the intersectional path of the sacred feminine and the multi-dimensional path of Her ways.

I have to tell you this is perhaps one of my most favorite conversations to date, as not only has Liz been a mentor and teacher to me, but her story resonates so deeply with my own. Walking away from father white God patriarchal religion and discovering the path of the Sacred Feminine has transformed my spiritual journey and opened my eyes to another realm of existence.

Although this topic of the Sacred Feminine is far and wide and we barely touched the surface in our conversation. Some highlights of what we were able to discuss include Liz’s story of discovering the sacred feminine, what the sacred feminine means to her and her daily rituals for connecting with Her. In honor of women’s history month we also dive into the mountain of herstorical facts for Her existence, the ways she shows up today and how She drives our social justice work in the world today.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey I promise this is a conversation that will speak to you. As Liz so poignantly says, “it’s always OK to call god a “she” and there is an incredible transformation when we do.”

Our liberation is collective. If your fight for women’s rights doesn’t include disabled women, trans women, Black women, Indigenous women, Brown women, Asian women, q***r women, poor women, i.e. ALL women, then it’s reflecting whyte supremacy, not true liberation.

Keep talking about Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Haiti, trans rights, Black lives - it is all connected ❤️

Just a few weekend reminders.

Participants in psilocybin studies repeatedly rate their experience on magic mushrooms as among the most meaningful in their lives”. Both myself and my guest for this episode would wholeheartedly agree with this statement, as we share our own journeys with psilocybin in this conversation .

For this episode I’m thrilled to introduce you to my guest, Jennifer Chesak, author of the book “The Psilocybin Handbook for Women.” Jennifer Chesak is an award winning medical researcher, journalist and fact checker. Her newest book is the subject of our conversation. I couldn’t be more excited to share her voice and wisdom with you and also my own experience with how plant meds have played a significant role in my healing and liberation journey.

In this episode both Jennifer and I share about our journeys on psilocybin and the healing it brought to each of us. In addition to sharing about my macro dose journeys, I also share my experiences with micro-dosing 🍄 & coming off 20 years of SSRIs with the help of psilocybin. shares the medical research she has discovered over the past year of pouring into this topic as well as the Indigenous roots and wisdom of these sacred plant meds.

If you have been curious about the healing effects of psilocybin and wanted to explore more then I encourage you to listen in on our conversation and buy book!

*Please note this convo or Jens book is in no way medical advice nor should it be taken as such. Also note psilocybin is still considered a schedule 1 substance so please do your own research on the topic before deciding what is best for your healing journey. Although the healing benefits of magic mushrooms are astounding, thought & care should be given before engaging in a journey with particular attention given to safety, set, setting, intention and integration. As Jen and I discuss, unfortunately this field is already becoming ripe for s*xual abuse and more harm to occur so please proceed with caution if you decide to engage in a psychedelic trip.

Thank you to Andrea Kingsley Miller Her Story Speaks for capturing the heart and soul of our founder Sara Cunningham so well!

“I usually don’t release new episodes on a Sunday but this conversation with Sara Cunningham, founder of , is an entire testimony and sermon in itself. Whether you are still in church, have left it entirely, or have never been a day in your life- this is a must listen to conversation.

‘s journey from the conservative Christian church of Oklahoma to the Pride parade is a remarkable story of a mom opening her eyes and heart and learning what it truly means to love like Jesus. When Sara’s son Parker came out to her in his teens, Sara was immersed in conservative Christian spaces. At the time he came out to her, it was her worst fear to have a gay son as she thought for sure it was his ticket to hell. She wrestled with her faith and her son’s s*xuality for years, before finally realizing if she didn’t fight for her son then who would?

In this episode Sara shared her journey of becoming an “accidental activist” and becoming the founder of one of the largest LGBTQ+ organizations supporting the q***r community. She shares with me about her first pride parade experience, her first hug, and her social media post that went viral where she offered to be a “stand in mom” at anyones gay wedding whose parents wouldn’t come.

Y’all when I say you are gonna love Sara and our conversation, I couldn’t mean it more. Listen in at the link in bio or on your favorite podcast listening app and be inspired by Sara’s story of becoming a woman who embodies love and light for the LGBTQ+ community.”

This is a sacred conversation y’all and you are invited to listen in. I’m grateful for the voice of Dr. Quantrilla Ard and her willingness to share her passion and story of what it means to be a Black woman and mother in America.

In this episode she shares her story of her pregnancy- that literally almost resulted in the loss of her own life and her baby’s. She talks openly about not only her experience but that of other Black women in America who become pregnant.

Her horrific birthing experience did have a “happy” ending, but as she shares that is not the case for many Black women in this country.

Quantrilla is now a passionate advocate for all aspects of Black maternal health. In this episode she also speaks up about the recent RoevWade decision - and how as a Black Christian woman who advocates for the health of Black women and babies- what this ruling has meant to her and the women she advocates for.

When I recorded this episode with Mindy Corporon just a few weeks ago after the Uvalde shooting, I had no idea I would be releasing my conversation with Mindy on the heals of yet another mass shooting. My heart goes out today to the people in Highland Park who are dealing with the tragic loss of hate and gun violence yet again today.

My guest for this episode knows this horrific story all too well. On April 13, 2014, Mindy’s father and 14 year old son were shot and killed by a white supremacist intent on killing Jews on Palm Sunday. But Mindy’s father and son were no Jewish, they just happened to be going to an event for her son at the Jewish Community center in Overland Park, KS when the shooter started his killing spree.

Mindy’s story is one of unthinkable grief and healing in a story she would have never written for her life and never saw coming. As Mindy says, hate and evil will affect us all at some point - even white Christian women- when we allow it to continue.

In this conversation Mindy shares some of the darkest chapters in her story but also how she overcome evil with love and goodness. Mindy’s story and life mission challenges us all to practice courageous kindness in the face of evil.

This is your reminder that we don’t all have the same life stories. So many of us are so blinded by our own privilege that we praise the Lord never stopping to think that what we choose to call a blessing and “win for life” could be life ending for others. I know because I was once there- focusing on the “unborn” never once giving thought to the stories and lives of the very women who faced the life altering decision in front of them.

Let’s stop with the calling todays decision a victory for Jesus. Last I checked Jesus spoke up for and stood on the side of the poor, the oppressed, the marginalized and he was especially always, always on the side of women.

* please note, this is not an exhaustive list of who deserves to make the very personal decision with their own body.

** edited to add: this is not a pro-life debate forum. I do not have the capacity to monitor that today or any day for that matter.

New podcast episode alert - and it’s an important one you NEED to listen to!

Did you know that the first — and still the only — right that the U.S. Constitution specifically affirms equally for women and men is the right to vote!?! How can this be in 2022? The Equal Rights Amendment will ensure that US Constitution protects people from discrimination on the basis of their s*x. BUT After 100 years of advocacy this amendment still has not been published as the 28th amendment!

In this episode I am joined by human rights lawyer and faith leader, Allyson McKinney Timm, as well as speaker and author . Both are women with a passion for justice and equality. Allyson is the founder of whose mission it is to “inspire, educate, and mobilize Christian communities to respond faithfully to the call to justice by defending the human rights of all.”

In this episode we dive into the history of the ERA, myths and opposition, the importance of it and especially why Christians should support it. We also talk about action steps and what you can do to help get this important amendment published.
